After going to the website of the chosen company you then get add on to the policy. You don't know if it's already included (as it's ticked when first view the quote) or you have to add it so the price goes up and therefore you don't now know if it's now the cheapest quote or not. Hence then buying it elsewhere and not from yourself as it comes across very misleading and untrustworthy.

The process was fine until linking through to the insurer's website. It wouldn't load, so I had to call direct and couldn't get the free excess cover, nor would the insurer match the price on the Gocompare website.

I tried to get insurance for my car and was told that I could not insure more than 30 days ahead, so I put in a date that was approximately two weeks early so allowing me to arrange this and get it sorted. I was then told by someone at your office that "it saw against the law to be double insured" and also it would take at least a week to get my money back. She of course said it was the Banks fault. I believe you have lost a client because of the way your program is set and I don't believe a Bank needs 5 days to reimburse. Your comments please

That is correct, you can only obtain a quotation 30 days in advance, insurance is a live market and with prices changing at such a quick rate, we have to have a reasonable cut off time. To confirm, it is not 'against the law' to be duel insured but if this is discovered by either insurer they can and will cancel the policy with immediate effect. This is because in the event of a claim, both insurers could be held responsible for the claim and they would have to decide between themselves who would be covering any costs. This can turn into a lengthy and unnecessary discussion which leaves the customer in limbo and no progression for the claim could occur during this time. We believe that this conversation has happened with the insurer directly and not us here at GoCompare, as we would not advise that this is illegal or on any refunds or time taken to process a refund. As a comparison service this part of the process is done directly with the insurer. Offers were good but far too much information required, it took ages, put me off doing it again., ie. Does your mortise lock comply with BS26368, how the hell would I know that? If I claimed and you found out that it did not comply then you would have an excuse to not to pay out, this is a typical ploy by insurance companies to avoid paying out. .Also, some links to the insurance companies did not work. In the end, I tried another company.

Very quick. However, the quote that I went for, due to the added extras shown. When I went to the insurers site, these extras were not in the quote price. Going to use another comparison site.

when doing multiple quotes the website doesn't update the information properly... Mixes and matches data from the quotes...??? As a result the quotes never agree with the follow up with the insurance provider. Ended up going to a different "shopping site". Thank you

Obtained a quote on the front end of your site for motor insurance. Went to the actual site via the link on GoCompare. The price had in creased by £29. Same cover no additions. Went to MoneySupermarket site after. Same front end price stayed the same when I went to the actual site.

Very difficult to add additional cars and amend main policy holder so gave up and went direct to car insurer

In price comparison good when i am buying a car insurance with 4 driver and try to change the main driver your algorithm in software not changing the Main driver it keep showing the same drivers as main which i put in the first time. Hope my feed back will helps you to improve your software.
