“I had to cancel my car insurance after a bad accident left me with a brain injury and had to sell my car. It was a bit of a complex case as I had also retained my private registration plate so my proof of sale reg didn't match up with the registration plate on my policy.
Lebohang Maetlane helped me immensely over the phone and was just so lovely to deal with. What was probably a really normal issue for her to resolve has really made my day and her friendly manner just made things even easier. One bit of good to come out of this crazy situation I am in. Give this girl a raise! She is brilliant.”

As this was the chosen method of delivery, they would have been sent to your online account which you can register for and access. “It took 14 hours for an RAC breakdown man to come to my aid. I wasnt contacted or offered a taxi or coutesy car. I had to sleep in my car for 14 hours with the windows stuck open in a gale. Awful experience. I hope the rest of my cover doesnt let me down like this. I only had tge insurance for 1 day.”

“Unfortunately for Hastings Direct I am giving them 1 star due to their underwriters ad they are the ones that make the final discission!
I was brought private plates from the DVLA as a gift. I called the DVLA to get them registered to my car current car. I then Called Hasting direct and was told that would not be able to insure me due to the change in number plates, but could not actually give me a proper reason. I called the DVLA back up to see if I could change back to my old plates, but as it had already been processed I was unable to do so.
Hasting direct were unable to tell me why I couldn't be insured with them anymore even though I already had an open policy with them for the car that I was changing the number plates on. The car is still the same other than the 2 bits of plastic that are on the front and back of the car- Number plates.
I had to cancel the policy and get a new policy with a different company, which at this time I do not really have the financial capacity to do, but I need to be able to get to work! The stress over the last 3 days has been to much for changing my number plates.
If I had known what I know now, I would of never insured with this company, the stress and money lose is not worth it! I am over £900 out of pocket!”

“Phone answered quickly first time to cancel car insurance,tried on line to have another insurance on new car needed to speak to someone so phoned them,only problem the lady was foreign and her accent was enhanced on the phone and very difficult to understand her,she was having problems with computer her end rang us back half hour later to continue same problem told us to ring back next day,but not deterred as price was very good”
