Easy to choose and well explained

I did one year with this insurer, and had the issue at renewal. The premium went up by approximately £400 despite there not being any changes to the policy details. I went on Confused.com, which I have been doing for decades, and found that Go Skippy was offering me a premium much cheaper than the renewal they offered me. I called the contact centre, and the first agent was an absolute fool.... No logic when I made is clear at the start of the call I had 2 queries (To avoid wasting time). The agent started going through my premium details (something I didn't ask for as I already had my premium letter in front of me, and then she completely went off on a tangent about something random...I had to stop her and pull her back to the first query. She didn't have a clue what she was talking about, and instead started reciting general T&Cs, instead of actually investigating why I was getting different quote. When it was clear she couldn't help, I ask to be put through to a manager. In stead, I was just placed on hold for an unreasonable amount of time.... I will also say that while dealing with this all, I was struggling to even hear what she was saying most of the time because it sound like her call centre colleagues where having a good ol' funky time shouting and joking, and carrying on like they were at a summer boozer event. Extremely unprofessional, and something that would never happen in a UK call centre. This call centre was based in South Africa. I finally got help from a second agent (Ayanda), who was the complete opposite. She was able to understand basic questions without sounding like a robot, unnecessarily repeating everything I say. She gave me the information I needed....I'm still on the fence about whether I will stay with this insurer considering the unprofessionalism I experienced earlier.

I found the application process very clear and concise. This is the first time I’ve used Skippy and hopefully I won’t need to use the claims process but if I do, I’m sure that will be just as clear to complete.

Very easy process to go through to buy my car insurance. I love the card I can put in my Apple wallet with all the information to hand. That makes things so much easier in the event of an incident should it happen.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Attitude on 2 different lady’s was awful ( who I will not name) Seen on insurance policy that my 16yrs no claims was not protected. I rang 2 days later to see if they could add this to policy told they could not. So cancelled insurance, then asked for quote with my 16 years no claims added, and my policy went up from original payment of £301.00 to £650:00. Gone elsewhere for insurance with protected no claims, all benefits windscreen, keys, courtesy car …. The list goes on for £291:00! How can this company with terrible attitudes when I asked for a quote to huff and puff as if they are doing me a favour, for doing her job. So look around and check policy before going with this company as other reputable companies have better prices and everything included! And better staff attitudes!
