“I changed my car so went to change insurance. On line couldn't do it so rang them. As my wife had died they cancelled my insurance as I was a widower. Then charged me an administrative fee. Will never use them again.”
“Easy to vuy policy but needed to get a chip repaired rang insurance to find out who to contact after being on hold for 40mins was passed to another department put on hold for a further 15mins then told i was speaking to wrong department and hung up on”
“Staff were helpful but felt slightly rushed through the whole process. Their was a focus on additional products without much discussion on the realities of having/not having it. Overall they offered the insurance at a very good price and accessing the policy documents online was easy. I just wish the robotic-ness was less of a feature in getting insured.”
“I have been with Goskippy for several months now. At first things were fine (first few weeks) then problems started to arrise with wanting more paper work etc then it was bigger deposits, bigger payments etc and within the first 10 weeks i had paid in excess of £450 - over £45 per week on a 2.0 litre tdi! Once that was sorted i unfortunately made a claim due to crashing my car. Goskippy were reasonable and made out as though they would be very fast and efficient but didnt state at any time that it is up to you to sort out everything between Goskippy, Coparts and eldon meaning you get passed from pillar to post, make 4 or 5 phone calls where 1 would have been sufficient if Goskippy communicated properly within their own company. I also found them to make promises on time scales which realistically didnt once come close whether this is the pay out, sending or receiving documents etc. I was promised my pay out would take around 3 weeks, however i'm still sat here coming up 6 weeks later without the money to buy a new car. I hadnt received one phone call during all of this time from goskippy to inform me of whats going on, to tell me theyd received further instructions or anything else. They will literally wait and leave you in the dark. Not a bad company but their communication and efficiency really needs to be revised. I Wouldn't tell somebody to avoid however i would go with an alternative company if the prices were similar.”
“Cheap but Comprehensive insurance doesn't cover you to drive other cars on 3rd party only and this isn't made obvious until you receive the certificate. I have driven for 24 years with comprehensive and never had this lack of cover which can be quite limiting.

“Taking out the policy was very easy and went smoothly.
But when attempting to contact them to add another bike to my current policy, there customer service was incredibly hard to understand, had a very bad connection (to South Africa) and werent at all helpful or bothered at my request.
I went on to insure my other bike with a seperate company.”
“""Cheapest quote on the market, however had to call the customer service centre to complete the policy and the customer service on the telephone was horrendous passed from pillar to post no one knew what each other person had advised had to speak to a manager to complete the process of my quote and pay my deposit for the policy to start when I required it to do so! Telephone customer service has to be improved vastly ! Bad attitudes and lack of knowledge !”
“a bit of a hassle setting up insurance with these. I don't suggest emailing as there is a 7 day delay which could result in your insurance being cancelled as mine was. Called their customer services and were very helpful getting me back up and running.”
