About Gazegill Organics:

Our family have been farming at Gazegill for about 500 years and as current custodians our responsibility to continue farming in a sustainable and nature led way is very important. We have always believed that nature is never wrong and farming organically produces healthier food from happier animals within a sound ecological system. Happy, healthy animals make better food with a traditional flavour. The rare and traditional breeds that we keep are better suited to the organic system and are slowly grown, this ensures a longevity of life based around a natural approach to farming. We love them to bits, they are our extended family.

“Great meat and good delivery. Placing another order soon. The prices are reasonable and especially the free delivery over £30, means I can order little and often and take advantage of their special offers which is a boost as we have a fairly low income. The meat itself is very tasty and is good quality.”

“The meat has great flavour. The animals seem to be well cared for and look really happy. They feed in beautiful organically certified meadows. And the bacon is nitrate and nitrite-free. “We’ve mostly been happy with their products but in the last order we received smaller packs of bacon and most of it was fatty with very little meat on it. We wrote to them about this but we never heard back. Also, apart from the cardboard box, nothing else can be recycled so it’s thrown in landfill. They offer a pick up service and they say that once we’ve got 10 boxes they can pick them up but where can I store the boxes in the meantime? Unfortunately, due to the environmental impact and the fact that our email wasn’t even acknowledged, we won’t be ordering from them any longer.”
