About Gazegill Organics:

Our family have been farming at Gazegill for about 500 years and as current custodians our responsibility to continue farming in a sustainable and nature led way is very important. We have always believed that nature is never wrong and farming organically produces healthier food from happier animals within a sound ecological system. Happy, healthy animals make better food with a traditional flavour. The rare and traditional breeds that we keep are better suited to the organic system and are slowly grown, this ensures a longevity of life based around a natural approach to farming. We love them to bits, they are our extended family.

The shop price of 1 litre of milk used to be £1.50. And I'm talking less than 5 years ago - not 'back in the day'. Then it edged up to £1.75 a litre. Then a few months later £2 a bottle. I stopped buying at this price as I felt the company had got greedy. I rang up today to check the price of milk and was astounded to find that the price of milk is now a whopping £3.40 for 1 litre of milk. That's right. You have read it correctly: £3.40. They are obviously 'milking' the healthy organic thing for all its worth because no normal family can afford this crazy price. Gazegill - okay for the lord of the manor; not okay for anyone else. And to think that raw milk is easier to produce as it's straight from the cow. And there's no middle-man. Gazegill must be grinning all the way to the bank. Oh and by the way, when I called to find out the current price and made it clear that I'd not be buying more, they hung up on me!

Hi there, On the basis that our organic raw milk is sold out a vast majority of the time, and usually sells out within an hour of being back in stock online, we would argue it Is good value. The demand for raw milk, specifically organic, has more than doubled over the past two years. Our production has increased by minimal amounts in comparison, as it takes at least three years for a female calf to become a fully-fledged dairy cow. We frequently have to turn down new customers who would like to purchase our milk, as intensifying our farming practices to increase our milk yield goes directly against our ethos. The cost of everything required for our business to run has increased significantly over the past couple of years too, as it has for almost every other business. We are sorry if you feel our organic raw milk has become too expensive for you. We have also reviewed your phone call, and the member of staff you spoke to did not 'hang up'. Best wishes, The Gazegill Team
I was expecting so much more. Ordered the paleo sausages, and they were tasteless. To add insult to injury, the price was ludicrous - £7.49 for six "thick" sausages, which were really rather small and £4.49 for the "thin" sausages which were the size of my middle finger. I never mind paying more for superior quality but this is daylight robbery. Very poor indeed!

I ordered tomato sausages and was very disappointed by the lack of tomato flavour. I have looked for tomato sausages for a while and was excited to see this company was selling them. They were not cheap, but I thought they would be worth it as they are organic and you “get what you pay for”. I was expecting the best tasting sausages, however, they lacked the flavour I would expect from a tomato sausage. Not what I expected!

I am trying to leave reviews on my latest purchases from Gazegill Organics but I can only leave a company review as there is no way to leave product reviews here, which is disappointing. Gazegill have always delivered promptly and until recently their produce has been good. But not anymore. I recently ordered Rolled Brisket, Whole Chickens and Pork Steaks. The brisket was full of fat and rubbery gristle and almost tasteless, it went in the bin, the chickens were tiny, barely reaching their minimum weight, and the pork steaks were over 40% fat. I won't be buying from Gazegill again.

Emma has displayed bigoted views on the murder of civillains during the Northern Ireland. Despite former PM David Cameron apologising for such murders in the Commons, Emma thinks that a 12 year old was murdered for hiding paramilitaries. I ask my English neighbours to please choose wisely. The produce my be ethical, Emma is not.
Helpful Report
Emma appears to be a bigoted moron. Avoid at all costs. Excuses the slaughter of innocent children and replies with a “yawn” when challenged. A vile person worth steering clear of.

Hi there, Thanks for your comments. We are sorry to hear of the issues you had with our courier, as per the phone conversation. We are a small farm and rely on external couriers, who are instructed to leave the package in a safe place, and unfortunately they have let you, and ourselves down on this occasion. We aim to deliver freshly butchered, chilled organic meat in cool boxes, and hope we managed to do this for you. Best wishes, The Gazegill Team
Had two raw milks go off well before the use by date. Was told that I'd receive a refund and never heard back. Poor customer service. Won't use again.

Love Gazegill Organics. Never been disappointed until I bought the Lamb Cushion. The meat was tender and tasty, well the bits I could eat were. It was little more than sinew and gristle. We ended up binning the one I cooked because it was a choking hazard. I have another in the freezer taking up room. Lost my enthusiasm. 🙁
