About Gazegill Organics:

Our family have been farming at Gazegill for about 500 years and as current custodians our responsibility to continue farming in a sustainable and nature led way is very important. We have always believed that nature is never wrong and farming organically produces healthier food from happier animals within a sound ecological system. Happy, healthy animals make better food with a traditional flavour. The rare and traditional breeds that we keep are better suited to the organic system and are slowly grown, this ensures a longevity of life based around a natural approach to farming. We love them to bits, they are our extended family.

“I was expecting so much more. Ordered the paleo sausages, and they were tasteless. To add insult to injury, the price was ludicrous - £7.49 for six "thick" sausages, which were really rather small and £4.49 for the "thin" sausages which were the size of my middle finger. I never mind paying more for superior quality but this is daylight robbery. Very poor indeed!”

“Excellent Meat, but customer service extremely poor. Placed order on the 10th of January and today 17th still no dispatch of order or explanation to why. Called on 2 occasions asking why not dispatched and each time Friday the 12th and Monday 15th was told it would be dispatched on Monday. No email explaining the delay and no effort to apologise. Asked to cancel order and no effort to retain my custom. Shame because the products tick all our requirements, but sadly customer service is what makes a business successful and warrant returning customers. Have alternatives in Piercebridge Organics and Cross Lanes Organic Farm Shop.”

“I ordered a Christmas smoked gammon. The quality of the meat for the price was fantastic. Delivery and packaging were spot on. My only feedback would be the inclusion of some cooking advice ie I needed to know if needed boiling/soaking. I soaked then roasted on bed of dried fruit but it tasted slightly salty. In future I would boil then finish in oven. I will definitely order again”

“This is my 2nd delivery so far and I’m very, very pleased. The bonus is being able to finally find a farm that supplies raw organic milk in the delivery also. Packaging with cooler bags is excellent…(but I need to find out if these can be returned), They Kept everything very chilled for the time it took to return home & take it indoors. Looking forward to trying the minced beef & offal combination. Always keen to add offal into our diets, but the taste of liver is strong to me usually. I’ll keep you posted ;) !! Wonderful quality. “I ordered tomato sausages and was very disappointed by the lack of tomato flavour. I have looked for tomato sausages for a while and was excited to see this company was selling them. They were not cheap, but I thought they would be worth it as they are organic and you “get what you pay for”. I was expecting the best tasting sausages, however, they lacked the flavour I would expect from a tomato sausage. Not what I expected!”
