Our family have been farming at Gazegill for about 500 years and as current custodians our responsibility to continue farming in a sustainable and nature led way is very important. We have always believed that nature is never wrong and farming organically produces healthier food from happier animals within a sound ecological system. Happy, healthy animals make better food with a traditional flavour. The rare and traditional breeds that we keep are better suited to the organic system and are slowly grown, this ensures a longevity of life based around a natural approach to farming. We love them to bits, they are our extended family.

I only buy organic free range chicken. The chicken was good but I think the price and delivery change is too high. This time, I bought the raw milk with other things, as I wanted to attempt to make butter (it didn't work as I think I need cream to make butter🤷‍♀️).

My star rating is a reflection of the customer service rather than the quality of the ingredients, which has always been good and is the reason I chose to shop here in the first place. I ordered chicken feet while the beef tallow I needed was out of stock. I emailed to ask for my order to be held until the tallow came back and also sent the same request through the contact form. I received a reply confirming they had my message and would hold the order until Friday if I was happy to wait, which I agreed to. Despite this, the chicken feet were dispatched without the tallow. The following day I received notification that the tallow was back in stock. I contacted them to ask whether the £10 shipping could be waived given that I had requested a hold through multiple channels, but this was initially refused with the explanation that they are a small business. As a disabled person with limited access to work, I plan purchases carefully and chose to shop with them because I value supporting small family businesses. Given my multiple attempts to communicate, I didn’t feel it was fair for me to carry the additional delivery cost. After several back-and-forth emails and asking for acknowledgement of the situation, I was eventually told the shipping could be waived if I increased my order to £50 and when I refused this said final offer of £5 delivery  Clearer communication and stronger accountability around agreed requests would have made this a much better experience.

I have been ordering from you for mahy years. I have notice excessive fat on the pork chops and steaks so have stopped ordering, I recently ordered two pork joints which i will not be ordering again. Again excessive fat. Love your minced beef and burgers. Recently purchased ....Sausages a distaster as the split in the pan. We used to love your sausages, Still waiting for a refund. I am not sure the butchefring skills of some of your staff are upto the standard. You are always out of stock for mutton and lamb cream and sheep yoghurt. Pork Tenderloin is good. I have had to change my ordering to Ocado organic and Abel and Cole orghanic . Sorry but I believe in honest feedback. Regards Sue

Everything was fabulous except for one niggle: the minced steak was delicious, but we both found quite a few hard, gristly bits. Not very pleasant, and it suggests the quality wasn’t quite what we expected — disappointing, especially given how good the flavour was.

I love the fact that all beef as I understand is organic and 100% pasture fed so beef mince is brilliant but Twice I have ordered the pork and have noticed that the amount of fat is rather too much, although delicious I would like to see less pork on the loin and chops if possible.

I have been very pleased so far, but was disappointed to find that the Ribeye Steak was one day out of date, the date it was delivered was the 17th Oct 2025 and the date on the Ribeye Steak was 16th Oct 2025.

On the image, it is the pack date which is the 16th, meaning this is the date it was butchered and packed, and not the use by date. Always great quality meat and milk. Been a customer for years. However, due to packaging/transit, I lost half the milk order. After emailing to let them know (not expecting a freebie or anything) the response was so much like they couldn’t care less, I’ve not ordered since. Quite sad really.

The fillet steak and mince was lovley but the sausage left a lot to be desired - in fact, I threw them away.

Love the raw milk, but very unhappy about the recent price rise far to much, and the price of delivery is also a bit extreme, especially when for unforseen circumstances your milk doesn't arrive, was happy that they did however deliver it in a Saturday, would have been happy to give 5star if not for the price.

The minced beef and raw milk were excellent and tastet really fresh and qualitative. Unfortunately, we reached out to the customer service because the beef burgers had a very strange, sour taste. As we kindly recieved our replacement, they were the same. Not for us. Barely any enjoyable flavour.

I spent almost £26 on oxtail and God forbid if that is £26 of ox steel there was no there was no oxtail. It was just a small quantity and that sort of money is an extortion you know you spending £26 and oxtail and you’re not getting any oxtail. I find that the prices are very high and the portions are very small. You know everybody’s struggling you know everybody’s having a hard time you know I think from a cow these people can make almost 10,000 from one cow up to 20,000 because a tiny piece of meat is like £100 so eating meat will be reserved for the Rich Not the poor not the working class

Meat came a day later than expected (at fault of the delivery company) , some of the meat was spoiled and had to be thrown out which was such a waste. The meat which was not spoiled was good quality and very nice, I would be apprehensive to order again due to the delivery's company they use being unreliable.

Quality of food is amazing. However, courier they use is not. Last 2 packages arrived 5-6 days late and then the order was no good. For that reason I have had to stop ordering. As I can’t risk not getting them again.

Have ordered from Gazegill 3 or 4 times in total now! Steaks have always been great. Most recent order arrived with boxes crushed and had to throw one pack of burgers and one pack of sausages away the day before their use by date as already smelling off. Only issue I have found consistently is that the sausages stick to the cardboard box they come in so end up losing 1 or 2 per pack as when removing them they take half the box with them!

Been buying from Gazegill for years, excellent quality, just last time the meat was not good, I thought it happens. That didn't stop me from ordering. The mince I've received this time is not like the ones we've had for years. Tastes different, like mixed with giblets. I really hope to get the quality as before. It was impressively good.

Excellent Meat, but customer service extremely poor. Placed order on the 10th of January and today 17th still no dispatch of order or explanation to why. Called on 2 occasions asking why not dispatched and each time Friday the 12th and Monday 15th was told it would be dispatched on Monday. No email explaining the delay and no effort to apologise. Asked to cancel order and no effort to retain my custom. Shame because the products tick all our requirements, but sadly customer service is what makes a business successful and warrant returning customers. Have alternatives in Piercebridge Organics and Cross Lanes Organic Farm Shop.

Firstly I would like to congratulate you on your environmental and animal welfare standards. That said I am disappointed to find your products sealed in plastic, and although I want very much to find your products to be second to none, I have been underwhelmed generally. I am happy to pay more for high welfare standards, but did not find the higher price reflected a higher quality in terms of flavour unfortunately.

Organic rose veal box. Good online service, chilled package received as stated. Unfortunately, the meat was as tough as old boots! Tried numerous cooking methods; long & slow (veal & kidney pie with diced veal) quick (veal milanese with the escalope, T bone & cutlet). Decided to mince it all in the end as this was the only way to make the meat edible. Shame, we thought this was a great find.

Great service as regards to delivery but I was disappointed with the sirloin steak when we tried it. Nice flavour but very chewy and sinewy, we ended up throwing a good portion of it away. However, we've since tried the minute steak which was much better. My 'beef' is that when I wrote a review (several weeks ago) saying the steak was tough it has yet to appear on their site... very misleading if they only allow reviews that praise them.
