About Gazegill Organics:

Our family have been farming at Gazegill for about 500 years and as current custodians our responsibility to continue farming in a sustainable and nature led way is very important. We have always believed that nature is never wrong and farming organically produces healthier food from happier animals within a sound ecological system. Happy, healthy animals make better food with a traditional flavour. The rare and traditional breeds that we keep are better suited to the organic system and are slowly grown, this ensures a longevity of life based around a natural approach to farming. We love them to bits, they are our extended family.

“My first order. Everything went as planned and I was kept informed all the way through the delivery. The meat was excellent and tasty. Also for me one of the most important things was this meat was non halal . I can’t be party to that. All in all excellent.”

“it was my first order with Gazegill, very impressed with delivery service, and packaging. Delighted to get venison burgers which are delicious . I have got enough for 12 months now. Ordered burger and sausage, pack, also sausage assortment. Just one comment we like the thicker sausages, But they were all very tasty thin ones. Never mind they will all get eaten! “I am a big fan of Gazegill.. Their beef ( oxtail, beef bones; marrow bones; steaks etc are always top notch and a delight to cook with - if I order at the weekend everything arrives in a timely fashion ( 2 -4 days) and is beautifully packed so it stays cold until I get home from work and am ready to unpack. When I ordered cheese that was then out of stock they phones me and we arranged a suitable replacement. That came with a little extra for the inconvenience, so tnhey are really customer focused. It's a 5 star service from me. Highly recommended”

The meat looked different from the normal meat I get from the local shops, deep red colour, tested different, I have not eaten meat for a year. “I recently ordered organic food from Gazegil, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I specifically purchased three organic chickens, expecting high-quality, properly sourced products. However, the chickens I received did not appear to be organic at all. In fact, they looked very similar to standard supermarket products, particularly ones you might find at Asda. When paying a premium for organic food, customers expect a noticeable difference in quality, sourcing, and transparency. Sadly, this order did not meet those expectations. The appearance, size, and overall presentation of the chickens raised concerns about whether they were truly organic. I hope Gazegil takes quality control and customer trust more seriously in the future, as transparency and authenticity are crucial when selling organic products.”

“We had a beef box, bacon and raw milk. We have so far eaten braising steal and bacon. The braising steak was amazing it was so tasty. The bacon was lovely. So much better than supermarket bacon. Thick cut too. The milk is really nice. I have never had raw milk before. We will be buying again. The box came really well packaged with every part of the packing can be recycled. We will be shopping monthly with Gazegill.”

“My star rating is a reflection of the customer service rather than the quality of the ingredients, which has always been good and is the reason I chose to shop here in the first place. I ordered chicken feet while the beef tallow I needed was out of stock. I emailed to ask for my order to be held until the tallow came back and also sent the same request through the contact form. I received a reply confirming they had my message and would hold the order until Friday if I was happy to wait, which I agreed to. Despite this, the chicken feet were dispatched without the tallow. The following day I received notification that the tallow was back in stock. I contacted them to ask whether the £10 shipping could be waived given that I had requested a hold through multiple channels, but this was initially refused with the explanation that they are a small business. As a disabled person with limited access to work, I plan purchases carefully and chose to shop with them because I value supporting small family businesses. Given my multiple attempts to communicate, I didn’t feel it was fair for me to carry the additional delivery cost. After several back-and-forth emails and asking for acknowledgement of the situation, I was eventually told the shipping could be waived if I increased my order to £50 and when I refused this said final offer of £5 delivery Clearer communication and stronger accountability around agreed requests would have made this a much better experience.”

“Absolutely amazing. The beef roasting joint just melted in the mouth. The sausages are so thick and really tasty. Not tried the pork/mince or burgers yet but I'm sure I won't be disappointed. Love the raw milk. Excellent service, although courier service could have been better, as I don't class one tap on the door and then leave it on the floor as service!”
