About Gazegill Organics:

Our family have been farming at Gazegill for about 500 years and as current custodians our responsibility to continue farming in a sustainable and nature led way is very important. We have always believed that nature is never wrong and farming organically produces healthier food from happier animals within a sound ecological system. Happy, healthy animals make better food with a traditional flavour. The rare and traditional breeds that we keep are better suited to the organic system and are slowly grown, this ensures a longevity of life based around a natural approach to farming. We love them to bits, they are our extended family.

“Everything was fabulous except for one niggle: the minced steak was delicious, but we both found quite a few hard, gristly bits. Not very pleasant, and it suggests the quality wasn’t quite what we expected — disappointing, especially given how good the flavour was.”

“Absolutely love all the various meats we have bought for some time now. Added raw milk a few orders ago and this is delicious, just as milk should taste. Have not spotted various cheeses which I am going to add to the next order. There is such a difference in flavour and taste when you buy Gazegill items, it really is a huge difference and the texture and flavour are way above items I have purchased from supermarkets that were marked as organic.”

“The only thing I'm not keen on is the GF sausages. I just buy pork mince and my own crumb and seasoning. I'd love to come to the shop more often to buy 'gluts of the moment' for instance bacon pieces for pies, flans and soup. I'v really had to scratch my head to think of those two.”
