“I was struggling to find a Balkan gypsy band in Merseyside to liven up our wedding. Time was running out and Freak Music contacted a range of musicians and found several who were willing to travel from further afield. The Balkanatics traveled from London to play and were fantastic! They livened up the party, suggested a first dance for us to dance to, and got everyone on the dancefloor!”

“Pem and Steve did a fantastic job at our wedding. They learnt our first dance song specifically, which was great, and they played a brilliant set with a great mix of songs. They were excellent at reading the room and keeping the music low key at the right points, and bringing up the tempo to get everyone dancing when needed. All our guests commented on how good they were, and how they loved the song selections as there was something for everyone. The finale of Hey Jude was a perfect way to end the set, but they even did a bonus encore song after our guests insisted they play one more! I'd highly recommend Pem and Steve and have done so to friends and family for future events of theirs.”

“After endless searching, I settled on the Darling Dogs to do a couple of sets of background music at a 50th birthday garden party. I was able to speak to them before confirming the booking and they were super friendly and accommodating and reassured me on every logistical/musical query I had. On the day, they turned up on time and in the middle of a party in full flow, very unobtrusively worked out where to set themselves up, did a sound check and then judged the mood perfectly to deliver 2 * 45 min sets of relaxed but engaging popular tunes, old and new. Everyone thought they were great and they provided just what I'd hoped to get. To add to that, they were so polite and friendly on the day it just made the whole thing utterly hassle free. Always tricky to judge a band from promotional snippets on the website but on the day they aced it for me. Great show lads!”

“We were delighted with The North East Singing Waiters. The element of surprise to our guest of honour went down really well and the "waiters" got everyone involved. I would definitely use them again and would certainly recommend them to colleagues and friends.”

“We booked the Cairn String Quartet for our wedding from pre ceremony through to the our meal & they were just amazing! Their selection of songs available was staggering. We didn't get to enjoy them as long as we would like with commitments for photos etc but our guests loved the arrangements & thoroughly enjoyed listening to them play. They are a talented bunch & perfect if you want something well above your standard special occasion entertainment!”

“Really easy to use. From choosing the artist to booking to contacting her and making the final arrangements it was simple. Islay herself was brilliant. Her playing was so good and it was a pleasure to have her playing at the wedding. If you need a cellist I would wholeheartedly recommend her can’t say how good she is.”
