Products were fine, DPD delivery was a disaster. Box not delivered, just left in a nearby lane, no photo to identify where until next morning. Box had been out all night in the rain. Content fortunately survived. So long as we eventually located it DPD are not interested in any problems they caused us Would not want to risk that again.

Good value, but some products questionable in quality from my personal experience. But quality food is not so readily available as it once was.

Hi there, Thank you for your review and we are sorry to hear that you feel that some of our products are questionable in quality. We work hard to source really great quality products alongside keeping our prices as low as we can for our customers all year round. Kind regards,

Probably the better whole food supplier I've found. My issues though are items are packed in plastic, and somewhat worse recycled plastic known to leech a cocktail (400+) of toxic chemicals into the food. I repack on arrival but some short dated products

Thank you for your review and thank you for allowing us the opportunity to highlight the steps we take to reduce our environmental footprint. We are an independent family run company who care about our planet and everyone on it. We make it our mission to make organic food accessible. Organic food nurtures the people who eat it and organic practices enrich the soils and wildlife which thrive on organic farms. We are acutely aware of our responsibility to the environment and are committed to reducing our overall environmental impact. From our operations to our product development we are continually monitoring, managing and striving to improve our environmental performance. Here are some of the ways that we reduce our foot print on the planet: Food Waste We minimise food waste by efficiently managing stock control and buying only what we need. We use DPD Local to deliver most of our parcels. Not only are they really great at delivering parcels they also run a carbon neutral delivery service. Recycling We recycle everything that we can. This includes paper, cardboard and plastics. These are either collected weekly by our recycling partners or re-used by us. Approximately 95% of all materials we receive or use in our business are recycled. This means we always have more recycling bins than general ones dotted about our site! Cleaning Chemicals We use food safe and environmentally friendly green cleaning chemicals, they are made mostly from vegetables! Food Ingredients All our produce is sourced from reputable suppliers and is Soil Association certified organic. Local suppliers are used wherever possible, reducing food miles, meaning less carbon emissions. When buying we follow the below mantra: Use organic suppliers with the highest food quality accreditation. Buy only Non GMO ingredients. Minimise the use of ingredients, making the products as natural as possible. Use suppliers who have the same values as us. Packaging We care deeply about our footprint as a company. We want to be as environmentally conscious as possible and we know our customers care as much as we do about the issue of plastic. In our journey to find the best packaging we found that although compostable products exist, many do not decompose adequately, are produced using GMO materials, damage easily and are not sustainable. We currently use LDPE polyethylene bags which can be recycled widely in the UK through curbside collections or at local supermarkets. We use peel-able paper labels so these can easily be removed from the bags before recycling. After much thought, we believe choosing the most widely recycled material is the best step any company can take at the moment. Not only is this form of plastic highly recyclable it is food safe and does not typically leach harmful chemicals into food. Approximately 95% of the packaging we use is recyclable. How to recycle our bags: Our bags are all widely recyclable with the supermarket carrier bag schemes , simply enter your postcode to the recycle point finder. We are members of OPRL. You will find their simple informative logos on the back of our packaging to help you recycle. See our little guide below. We use strong cardboard boxes to delivery your food safely. These are fully recyclable and are FSC rated We use only sustainably sourced recyclable paper tape. On top of this we have donated to the UN World Food Programme since 2017. When you shop with us you are a zero hunger hero. This is because we donate a share of our profits to the World Food Programme. This exceptional charity assist 80 million people in around 80 countries each year. The WFP is the leading humanitarian organisation fighting hunger worldwide, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. Hi there, thank you for your review, and we are sorry that the organic unblanched almonds were not as you hoped this time. We have checked and cannot see a message from you. Hi there, Thank you for your review and we are sorry as we think there has been some confusion. We have full traceability of every product that we send out to customers, and so we have checked the batches of products which you have received in your order and can see that all of the products received have an expiry date of at least 8 months. We operate a strict FIFO (First In First Out) stock rotation system, meaning that batches which we have had for longer are used before we move onto new batches. We have checked and cannot spot a message from you and so please do contact our customer services team so we can help you further. Kind regards,

I normally would give five stars but this time Forest Whole Foods let me down a bit. I ordered various items (dried fruits, seeds and mixed organic nuts). The order came to a little over £37 so it qualified for free delivery. When it arrived there were no nuts. The next day, before I had gotten around to calling them, I received an email from Forest Whole Foods explaining that they had run out of stock. No problem. It’s a shame that their website didn’t show such (the order was all about the nuts really) but never mind. Where it does become slightly irksome is that when the stock of nuts arrives I will want to make a new order. But unless I order £40-ish of them I will not qualify for free delivery. Which was kind of the point of the size of my order first time around.

Hi there, thank you for your review and apologies that this time we were not able to fulfil the organic mixed nuts in your order. We monitor our stock levels carefully, but are sorry that on this occasion demand for the organic mixed nuts exceeded our expectations. Although we organised a refund for you for the organic mixed nuts, we realise that this causes inconvenience when placing a future order for them and are sorry about this. We are pleased that you would normally give us five stars, this is great to hear. Please do contact our customer services team if we can be any further help with your order. Kind regards,

Really pleased with the oats, however one of the 5kgs had split open in the packaging and we had to throw away approximately 2 ounces as they were loose in the box

When we received the parcels, both boxes were torn and had holes. Additionally, flax seeds were spilling out of them. You wrapped the package inside with stretch film, but the top of the bag was completely torn, and the contents had spilt out. In our previous orders, these products came in 5kg plastic bags. We had also encountered burst bags in those orders, but this time, a lot of product was wasted from this large paper bag.

Ordering and delivery good. Customer service excellent. Flaxseeds up to usual good Standard. I have never ordered Sunflower seeds Chia seeds or Organic Roasted Pumpkins seeds before. So far so good but too early to make a full judgement hence the reason for only 3 stars. David 25th August 2024

The product was fine. However the courier you use is Evri. They are consistently awful. And have never once brought the parcel to the door. Often just dumping it over the front gate, onto the ground. Other couriers are better than this.

My order for fresh dates was delivered promptly; I have only given 3 stars for the following reaons. Firstly, I have received 2 identical requests for a review within a minute of each other! 1 of the requests requires that I sign in via my Google account; Google will not allow me to do this as it will not accept my password! The 2nd reason for only giving 3 stars is that the dates are packed in a shrink-wrap sort of packaging. I have ordered 2 lots of fresh dates from 2 different suppliers, both of which have used similar packaging, and the dates have arrived "sweating". They are perfectly edible to my mind, but get very sticky by the time that I have got to the end of the pack, and I have to peel the plastic away from the dates. Your supply is not too bad at the moment, but I feel that it is the packaging which is causing this wetness and generally sticking together of the dates. I have ordered several packs of dates in the past from a supplier that seems to have disappeared from the internet; every time their dates were dry, seperate, and stayed that way for 2 months. Whilst this is not a complaint, I am still trying to source dates that are not packed in tight plastic, as I feel sure that this contributes to the state that they arrive in.

Hi there, Thank you for your review and we are pleased to hear that your order has arrived promptly. We are sorry that you received two requests to complete reviews for us, these were different as we believe one review was to ask about our performance as a company and the other request was for product specific reviews. We are sorry that our organic Medjool dates are not as you had hoped. We do package our organic medjool dates in see through packaging and whilst excess air is removed from the pack when sealed, they are not shrink/vacuumed packed. You mention that you have ordered dates from a different supplier previously and that these dates were not so wet/sticky and we wonder if you have previously bought a different variety of dates. Our organic Medjool dates are the most luxurious dates which we stock and are very soft, succulent and should be a little sticky. We do sell other varieties of dates and these include organic deglet nour and organic aseel dates. Our organic aseel dates are much drier and will not stick together in quite the same way and so we wonder if this might be worth considering another time. Please do contact our customer services team if we can be any further assistance. Kind regards,

Hi there, Thank you for your review. Every batch of every product that we receive is risk assessed. This risk assessment details the appropriate frequency of testing for each specific product. Testing for pesticides and microbiological testing is generally conducted, but in addition further tests may be completed for anything else that is appropriate for that particular product. This testing is available from us. We hope that this is helpful and please do contact our customer service team if we can be any further assistance. Kind regards,
