“Good quality, fresh, often organic, food that is well packaged, usually in bags I can reuse, as reasonably strong. I live close by to the warehouse and enjoy being able to pick up my order by simply walking there, often on same or next day from my online order.”

“Great customer service experience It was my first purchase. I was a loyal Real Foods Edinburgh customer. However, I had many unsatisfactory customer service experiences and delays in supplying products. So I decided to change my whole foods supplier. At Forest Whole Foods, I found high-grade quality products—a wide range of dry fruits, nuts, flours, seeds, and reasonable delivery service. Also, good value for money. I had a positive first customer service experience!”

“I have used FWF before and the experience has been good, but this time it was not. I called customer service and was promised a call back a few minutes later to clarify something. That call never came. I had 2 orders in and they were supposed to be amalgamated, but that didn't happen. I asked for my delivery to be held a few days as I was going to be away, I had a notification from dpd that it was scheduled for delivery the next day - which I could change with them, but it was annoying to have my break interrupted. And when my delivery did come, the boxes were in a shocking state - bashed around and broken, although the goods inside were intact. The driver said that FWF boxes are often like that. So, all in all, I was not impressed this time. I also wanted to use FWF because they are close to home and shopping local is what I want to do. I found out that the goods are shipped up to Bournemouth to the depot to be distributed and then they travel back down overnight for delivery. I only live 15mins away from the warehouse, this is crazy.”

We did call back but the line was engaged and we weren't able to leave a message - I believe this was near the end of the day. Your orders then went out and although they had been merged, they had to be split for transit due to the weight. We are so sorry to hear that your boxes were damaged in transit with DPD. “Products good, but unfortunately the very plastic packaging is a problem for me, so I doubt I’ll order again.. shame as there are alternative packaging solutions that are more sustainable and aligned with those of us seeking to make greener informed purchasing choices.”

Hi there Sarah, Thank you for your feedback regarding our packaging. This is something that is always on our minds here at Forest Whole Foods. When we first started our company, we tried various options for packaging, including paper products. Unfortunately, they were too weak, and as paper is porous, it didn't keep the produce fresh. Upon further investigation, we also found that paper has a bigger carbon footprint than plastic. We currently use polyethylene bags which can be widely recycled in the UK - this is through kerbside collection or local supermarkets. Our labels can also be easily removed before recycling. We use recyclable paper tape on our boxes and kraft paper packaging for protection inside. We hope this helps to alleviate some of your concerns.
