Following my initial request for assistance with my garage motorised door, that operated, without problem from the control unit, but not at all with the remote key fob, I was asked to supply photographs of the control unit and door for scrutiny by an engineer. The response to the submission of 4 images as requested was incredulous. The engineer determined and I quote: "As a minimum you will need a new motor and controls. This would cost £1280.00 inclusive of fitting and VAT. He recommends having a new motorised door, as your current door appears to be around 15 years old. If you had a similar specification this would be £1850.00 inclusive of fitting, VAT and removal of the old door. You would also then have the benefit of a new 5 year warranty". I was somewhat perturbed so decided to scan YouTube for an answer to my problem, lo and behold I found instructions on how to reprogramme the key fob. Needless to say I fixed the problem myself in a few minutes and I have had no problems since. I am certain that had I not checked the website for a possible solution I would now be at least £1280.00 out of pocket. I would definitely not recommend this company, and I would certainly not take their word for anything.

Do not hire this company! We had a new electric garage door installed by Eastern garage doors which we’ve had nothing but issues with & the company insist on charging us to rectify. The frame is scuffed all the way down from installation The fobs supplied are awful quality and 2 out of 3 have already stopped working The top face plate of the door was so flimsy that it bangs/rattles in the slightest wind (£400 to rectify) The manual override was forgotten, then completely bodged & has now snapped off after using twice (£600 +vat to rectify) Next door neighbour also have issues!

Had a garage door fitted, had to call them back because they left off the trim and daylight could be seen all around the door, which they did rectify. The colour has now started to fade on one of the doors now, less than 5 years down the line and they won't even send someone to look at it for me. They couldn't be less interested and this is their actual response: As you will see on our website, we advise that MOST, not all, of our doors have a 10 year warranty which Is based on what the manufacturer offers. We do not guarantee the doors ourselves just our workmanship. Every supplier warranty varies and in this particular case, when we referred your situation to Ryterna who provided the doors, they advised that they only offer a 2 year paint warranty on their doors which of course means it has now expired. We appreciate this will not be the news you wish to hear, however, in this matter, we are at the hands of the manufacturer. Understanding you may wish to make a legal claim, this would need to be to Ryterna directly – their website https://www.ryternagaragedoors.co.uk/faq/#warranty I would not use this company again.

I needed repair for a garage door lifter, if repair was possible. -- Site visit but no useful communication or discussion with Eastern. Received a 'job card' that showed high-cost replacement but when I asked for clarification, I received none. My time was wasted; Eastern's time and travel were wasted. If the company advertises repairs but only installs new equipment, that's unprofessional and it's not environmentally responsible.

an appalling service made up of minimal help followed by alarming and misinforming advice that indicated replacement garage doors were the only way to resolve a problem with keys. local locksmith sorted the issue in 20mins.

Paid a deposit 2 months ago on 3rd June for new garage doors and not one communication or email from this company, I did chase up once early on and was told they would update me. Not impressed with their customer service despite all the good comments below.... maybe they wrote them to boost their score... if anyone is watch from the company please call me....SURVEY1995

Mrs Vaughan I called Eastern Garage door as my Garage door was noisy . They replaced a small plastic disk cost £25 . Paul here less than 30mins charged me a pensioner £50 plus £100 call out fee ? . When they live 15min away ? This was never made clear when i phoned .

Door not sprayed properly badly fitted, gaps under door , ceiling panel not put back,gaps between frame and wall. Holes in concrete filled with pebbles.and door has gap between when closed .

Appalling service, I ordered a new door, was promised a delivery date, took the day off work, no-one turned up or called me, I had to contact them to be told they weren't coming. Very very poor.
