When the stove was ordered I was told there would be a waiting time until August the stove turned up with out any warning I had no idea it was due to arrive and it was just left on my front door step when nobody was in to receive it it could have been stolen quite easily .

The stove is OK but the liner is no use because it isn't twin walled, the register plate is too small and didn't have a hole for the pipe. So the free items weren't worth having.

I can't say much about the stove as of yet as we are still waiting to be installed What I can say is the delivery of it was a sham, it was one guy delivering who wasn't capable of any manual, he took it off lorry and said the pallet wouldn't go across the shingle and so it was left at the front of drive for all to see. My husband near his 60"s had to get planks of wood and drag the fire himself it took him over an hour to get it to front door

Some form of communication between buying and delivery would have been nice - you took my money and several months later someone chapped my door with a delivery 😘

The 'Hunter Hawk 4 Mark 2' fire was delivered within the estimated time and is now working satisfactorily. The fire is of good quality and the log effect is very realistic. However there was a small problem with the remote control and when the gas fitter then myself contacted the seller we rere given a very convoluted runaround and we were both told by a Mr. Daly, who describes himself as the operations manager, that the telephone in 2022 was not a good enough medium to get help but it had to be done by email and this was not helpful. The gas fitter solved the problem without any help from the manufacturer or Direct Stoves. I can recommend the stove as it is very well constructed, was delivered on time and the driver was very helpful but NOT the customer service received from Direct Stoves or the manufacturer. The handle was slightly damaged but I have returned it to the manufacturer and am awaiting a replacement which I expect to receive within a day or two.

Really happy with my stove but the delivery was awful Cancelled twice without informing me I had to call them Three days hanging about for it

Good customer service and excellent price match facility. Lack of communication prior to delivery and on the day the logistics company dumped the stove in the middle of drive without knocking on the door to let us know it had arrived. The stove was scratched and dinted owing to inadequate packaging (luckily the damage was to back of the stove so can’t be seen)

Unfortunately the item I ordered was out of stock 3 days after buying online , however the customer service was great to find an alternative. Still waiting for my 2 year glass warranty which I paid extra for, nothing received in writing.

Delivery took longer than the advertised 48 hours. Be aware that the blanking plate is only a 800x400 galvanised plate and needs completely manufacturing - which you might not have tools to do. They sell cheap kits and you get what you pay for I guess.

The delivery driver had to be persuaded to bring the fire indoors. He separated it into 2 lots and my daughter brought in the lighter one. Then came the task of removing it from the crate which was not easy with numerous staples to pull out. We were unable to fix the legs as we did not have the necessary tools to do so. Finally, we relied upon the good nature of a friend to help who fixed the legs, put the fire and cast iron shell together and lifted it all into position. I am a 70-year-old widow but still very active. However, this was beyond me. It should be made clear how the fire will be delivered and what is required to fit it. Apart from all that the fire is just what I wanted.

The stove/fire body is made from cast iron and is of great quality it is too bad the "glass" door is 1mm plexi glass (and ours was broken on delivery). I will never understand why a company creates a quality product and then finishes it off with some cheap sub-standard component.

Excellent communications over the telephone and via email. Delivery driver was terrible wouldn’t help move the stoves indoors, just wanted to abandon them outside.

Waited 2 months for my multi fuel stove then wrong 1 turned up had to speak to 5 different people but finally getting it sorted out had to wait another 10 days for the kit to arrive wasn’t the best

I decided to opt for the monthly payment options and despite being told all was accepted, it took almost a week after my original order for them to confirm the order. I had to chase them 3 times to track down what was happening, the online “track my order” didn’t work. Everyone I spoke to was polite and tried to help but was left frustrated after spending £700. I then had to chase the delivery and was told someone would call the following week which they did and it finally arrived 3 days later (10 days after my order was placed). The fire was delivered to my door only. The driver explained he was very busy and left leaving me to take it inside. It was well packaged and arrived in good condition. After opening I discovered the extra “wood” effect was not included after I had paid £50 extra for it. Another call to them to check I had been sent the correct one and was told the fire comes as standard and the extra wood was out of stock but would be sent separately. Fine, I can accept that but would have been good to know! The fire looks good and the quality is ok. I’m a little disappointed with the small screws you had to remove to add the wood as the paint chipped it. The top section could be designed better. Happy with the light and is fairly realistic of flames. It’s not clear on the description but this a fan heater and on the high setting it is very noisy which is a shame. Overall I am happy, it’s makes a lovely focal point in the room. I did my research and I believe it’s the best you can get without having a real log fire!

The incorrect stove was originally sent, but was replaced within a week. However, the actual delivery was more problematic than anything else. The stoves are incredibly heavy and they deliver to the door. You really need some help for the delivery, which can add to the cost.
