The delivery driver had to be persuaded to bring the fire indoors. He separated it into 2 lots and my daughter brought in the lighter one. Then came the task of removing it from the crate which was not easy with numerous staples to pull out. We were unable to fix the legs as we did not have the necessary tools to do so. Finally, we relied upon the good nature of a friend to help who fixed the legs, put the fire and cast iron shell together and lifted it all into position. I am a 70-year-old widow but still very active. However, this was beyond me. It should be made clear how the fire will be delivered and what is required to fit it. Apart from all that the fire is just what I wanted.

The stove/fire body is made from cast iron and is of great quality it is too bad the "glass" door is 1mm plexi glass (and ours was broken on delivery). I will never understand why a company creates a quality product and then finishes it off with some cheap sub-standard component.

Excellent communications over the telephone and via email. Delivery driver was terrible wouldn’t help move the stoves indoors, just wanted to abandon them outside.

Waited 2 months for my multi fuel stove then wrong 1 turned up had to speak to 5 different people but finally getting it sorted out had to wait another 10 days for the kit to arrive wasn’t the best

I decided to opt for the monthly payment options and despite being told all was accepted, it took almost a week after my original order for them to confirm the order. I had to chase them 3 times to track down what was happening, the online “track my order” didn’t work. Everyone I spoke to was polite and tried to help but was left frustrated after spending £700. I then had to chase the delivery and was told someone would call the following week which they did and it finally arrived 3 days later (10 days after my order was placed). The fire was delivered to my door only. The driver explained he was very busy and left leaving me to take it inside. It was well packaged and arrived in good condition. After opening I discovered the extra “wood” effect was not included after I had paid £50 extra for it. Another call to them to check I had been sent the correct one and was told the fire comes as standard and the extra wood was out of stock but would be sent separately. Fine, I can accept that but would have been good to know! The fire looks good and the quality is ok. I’m a little disappointed with the small screws you had to remove to add the wood as the paint chipped it. The top section could be designed better. Happy with the light and is fairly realistic of flames. It’s not clear on the description but this a fan heater and on the high setting it is very noisy which is a shame. Overall I am happy, it’s makes a lovely focal point in the room. I did my research and I believe it’s the best you can get without having a real log fire!

The incorrect stove was originally sent, but was replaced within a week. However, the actual delivery was more problematic than anything else. The stoves are incredibly heavy and they deliver to the door. You really need some help for the delivery, which can add to the cost.

Pre-delivery service was fine but when the truck appeared with the stove. There was no tail lift on the truck and there was no pallet lifter. Had to come home from the work and help driver man handle 150kg package off back of lorry and into my garage 😡.

No issues with the product - just communication. So when a 130kg stove arrives at your house on a pallet it would have been good to have some notice do my 5’2” tall wife did not have to deal with the “problem” .

Happy with ordering process and delivery speed, however when stove arrived it has some scratches on the front of it. Probably more hassle than it's worth to send back so have decided to use damaged item

Had a problem with delivery, and first fire was damaged so had to be returned, which was annoying, but having eventually got my new fire which is perfect, I am very pleased with my purchase.

Love my Chesneys Heat & Grill, despite the small dent in the chimney on delivery. Used it a lot since receipt. A shame the cover wasn't delivered at the same time as I have to move it - and it's VERY heavy, to the garage after each use. I was told this isn't going to be delivered for approx 5 weeks, as Chesneys didn't provide them with the latest stock delivery. The wok ring isn't worth £99 - it's a sheet of stainless with 4 lugs welded on.

Easy online order. Further support call raised following purchase. Message left with what sounded like an external call service. Message left with one of their team. Was told someone would call me back but never did. Called again and was asked to email my query. To date knowone has called back or responded to email. Poor after sales service not acceptable in 2021.
