“Normally I would give a 5 star rating here because the service is very good and this is the third time we’ve used DDFS, but... on balance when I add the initial fee (£198) - which is okay and we’ve always paid, to the commission paid from the mortgage offerer (£1700+) - again ok and your reward for the work, to the broker fee (£799? - and this popped up late in the process) which we have not paid before, then it doesn’t seem so great. Have always used DDFS but probably would shop around on moving forward as the money above totalled up is now seeming excessive to me and if I’d had the time we could probably have secured similar deal-wise for much less”

“I found deal direct by searching on the web. I had bad credit so never thought i would be able to re mortgage but i was offered friendly and helpful advice by ddfs. Most of the contact was done via email, which helped as most of my time is outside of work hours. They got the right mortgage for me and the process was easy and smooth, providing advice and assistance throughout”
