That is such super feedback! Deakin & Francis have been making fine jewellery – including cufflinks – since 1786 and the seventh generation are responsible for the latest designs. Thank you so much for such great feedback about our cufflinks. As our cufflinks are precious cargo we can’t use the usual cheaper shipping methods, due to the insurance. Perhaps combine an order with a friend - as international shipping is free if your order value is over $400 – and if you ever visit London do pop into our store – just off Piccadilly!

It’s critical that we maintain our quality as well as introducing some newer items – like our lapel pins – to move with the times and if you ever visit London do pop into our store – just off Piccadilly. Over the years our 18ct gold hand-painted crystal cufflinks have included portraits of family members, favourite pets as well personal interests. “I ordered a ring online and the size was perfect having followed the sizing instructions. The quality of the ring is excellent and the shipping was on time. I have also since then asked questions responding directly to the email address on their email notices and the responsive was immediate.”

“I popped into their shop last week, with my husband, to do a spot of "looking for hints" as to what he would like for his birthday present. I found the staff to be incredibly helpful and happy for me to take pictures of what he liked, so I wouldn't forget! The result - I now know what husband wants for his birthday and what I want for Christmas. I never knew they could turn the cufflinks into pendants for a necklace. Happy Days”

What an excellent way to do the Christmas shopping! As someone that has visited our London shop in the Piccadilly Arcade that is fabulous feedback. Led by Mr Christopher Macdonald, they are a great team who will do everything they can to help. Plus you can always pop in and ask a member of staff to make a wish list for you, then they can ‘helpfully suggest’ suitable items for your husband to buy – slightly more than a subtle hint! Plus as you’ve discovered, as we are proper manufacturing jewellers which means that we can make anything. We can also take any previously owned item, or an inherited piece and transform into something you really want to wear. We offer complimentary consultations in our London store, so you could book an appointment with one of our jewellers to discuss exactly what you are looking for and we can make it in our Birmingham factory. Thank you again so much for such an excellent review and we are thrilled that you have visited our store in the Piccadilly Arcade in London. We very much look forward to seeing you again.

A special Christening gift – what an amazing idea! When your grandson is older, he will be so thrilled as this is truly part of Birmingham history. Deakin & Francis was founded in Birmingham’s jewellery quarter in 1786 and the Birmingham Assay Office was founded a few years beforehand in 1773! In fact Henry Deakin, our Managing Director, has recently been made a Guardian of the Birmingham Assay Office, so we have the hallmark in our DNA. What a lucky grandson and thank you so much for sharing this wonderful review.

As someone that has visited our London shop in the Piccadilly Arcade that is fabulous feedback! Led by Mr Christopher Macdonald, they are a great team who will do everything they can to help and they are all extremely knowledgeable. Part of the training when a new team member joins Deakin & Francis is to experience the whole process of making our cufflinks and enamelling a pair – this is a centuries old tradition that dates back to the Pharaohs and it is very challenging! After this the team really appreciate our jewellers, engravers and enamellers – realising that it is an extremely skilled craft. Thank you so much for such an excellent review and we are thrilled that you have visited our store in the Piccadilly Arcade in London. We look forward to seeing you again.

“I ordered custom cuff links for my husband to wear at our wedding. It was simple to order and while the cuffs took several weeks to ship, they turned out perfectly. Customer service informed me every step of the way what was happening with the shipping delay. They boxed them beautifully which made our getting ready pictures wonderful.”

Thank you so much for such a brilliant review! We’re thrilled that we were part of your wedding too. The Deakin & Francis classic enamelled cufflinks are handmade in our Birmingham factory using processes that date back to the Pharaohs. When these are made, they are passed to the engraver as the initials are hand-engraved, one by one, in the care of an expert – with a very steady hand! When the engraving is finished, the cufflinks are sent for polishing to ensure they are in perfect condition when they leave the factory. So it’s a process that requires some time as we need to ensure we deliver great quality to you, as you discovered! Our specially made cufflink boxes ensure they are safely protected in the journey and also look great too – how fantastic to include the entire package in the photos! What a very special wedding gift that will be treasured. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback.
