“I was looking to appoint a barrister from these people but when I did my due dilligence and did an internet search on the barrister who's name I shall not mention it turns out that she had a disciplinary from the bar standards board against her name, something to do with dishonesty. All I would say is do you research before you appoint anyone, a simple name search will help you.”

“I was dealing with a situation that had ended up in court. I found Sam M to be a Fantastic person, He Kept in touch with me throughout my experience, he kept me calm and communicated with me and my legal representative Ms Stephanie H, I found her very easy to talk to, she listened and she acted in my best interests. I felt she was very professional and a great negotiator. I’m waiting for the signed court order and also the physical actions to be completed mid May 2021. Fingers crossed we can all move forward. I hope its ok to write this review before May”

“Since the first time I came in contact with Clerksroom and Sam Morgan about 18 months ago. Sam has been excellent, professional, kind, considerate and always willing to assist. Sam is one person you can rely on. Once he says to you "leave it with me, I will see to it" be sure that he will definitely see to it more especially taking into consideration your affordability/costs. My recent court hearing which my previous fantastic barrister was unable to present me due to other commitments, I was worried of the thought of having a different barrister taking up my case and immediately contacted Sam, as usual, he said that I should leave it with him, within 20 minutes he came back to me with barrister's name. Then Stephnie Heijdra'a profile was sent to me by Sam. Stephanie Heijdra represented me and did a great job at such a short notice. Stephanie is very approachable, calm, professional and a good listener. We talked as if we had known each other for a long time. She was very interested and had the time to listened to the background of my case, asking relevant questions that would assist to understan the best way to represent me in order to achieved the best outcome for me. I would definitely recommend Stephanie any day and any time, She is fantastic.”

“I have had a complex discrimination case hanging about for a year. It had not been resolved in the usual practical steps, and so I had been trying to find a barrister to take my case through the public access scheme for over a week with no success. They either were too busy, didn't reply or felt my case needed more specialist help than they could provide. With only 32 hours to go to an appeal deadline, I was directed by another Chamber's clerk to call Sam - I rang late. He was reassuring, clearly explained the process and what he needed me to do, told me whilst we were on the phone he had people available but needed to check their opinion on taking the case. In under 30mins he had rung me back with an extremely experienced barrister willing to take my case. The barrister, Mr Michael Duggan QC, was absolutely excellent. He started with a review of the information I provided, and roughly drafted the letter I needed. He sent it to me, gave me time to read it and list my comments and queries, so I was ready for when he was able to call me. When we talked, from my comments and questions, he was able to drill down into the areas of my case which needed stronger rebuttal. He then redrafted the letter to highlight those areas and provided a detailed point by point rebuttal of all issues. After this draft I reviewed, and twice more he answered my questions. As I had to send him more documents, and had so many questions I knew there would be increased costs (read your paperwork :-) ) but these were fair and inline with the extra work. I cannot thank Sam and Mr Duggan enough - they have given me access to the law's protection which I had no idea existed! I cannot speak highly enough of this service, whether the outcome of my letter is what I need, or not! If you want to limit your costs, make sure you send in all the needed paper and a clear summary in one email....so the quote you are given covers all the work that is needed.”

“Never having needed to use a Barrister before, and due to Covid, needing to keep an eye on funds, Clerksroom Direct were brilliant. Sam got back to me within 30 minutes of my initial enquiry. We discussed my situation and requirements, and before the close of the working day he had provided me with an appropriate Barrister and had made arrangements for a consultative telephone call. “I wish I would have approached Clerksroom Direct years ago! I sent an enquiry and the next day I received a reply from a friendly, organised and efficient Sam Morgan that they could help, my file was opened and my details were passed on to Paul Dipre. I uploaded my documents using their easy to use secure portal and paid the fee online. An appointment for me to speak to Paul was arranged, who phoned me without delay. He was experienced and professional who listened to my case and explained the process. After a few days of thinking and emailed afterthoughts to Paul who replied to all my emails quickly. I had made up my mind to go ahead, he suggested while he was willing to attend court, I may want to consider a barrister locally to save costs. I contacted Sam who quickly replied and gave my details to Mark O'Callaghan, we arranged an appointment and I paid the fee through the link sent. When I heard from Mark, he was friendly, sympathetic, reassuring and professional - I was quickly put at ease. We agreed that he would draw up all the paperwork which he did to an exceptional standard. We corresponded on email through the months and on the day of my Hearing which was by telephone, Mark met me and we spoke about the process. He spoke on my behalf to the Judge and the Defendant and he won my case! I cannot thank Clerksroom Direct enough especially Mark. I'd definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone and worth every penny. Keep up the great work Clerksroom.”
