“I ordered 6 garlic bulbs and 3 lots of onion sets. Only the onion sets arrived with no garlic bulbs. I also asked for non plastic packaging and they were wrapped in plastic. Tried to email and the site is down. Tried to phone and just got a message directing me to the website”
“Order: 203-9496154-1150742) Told plants had been sent by Royal Mail Tracker 48hrs last wednesday. Expecting package on the Friday. It is now the following wednesday, no sign. I contacted the company and was told package will not be despatched until this friday. Why say plants have been despatched when they clearly have not been? Underhand. Have asked for a refund. Will not use again. Awaiting response.”
“I have received wallflowers from this company when I actually thought I was purchasing from B&Q. What I received when I opened the box was a sludgy, slimy stinking mess. Impossible to even separate or use at all. The smell was disgusting. Never again! I now have to raise a complaint with Carbeth even though I bought them from B&Q. I feel very let down and have paid £25 for nothing. I want my money back!”
“Order not received as of 6th October and no order confirmation sent. Disappointing considering payment has been taken and no response to phone number 0141 587 8956 after calling to see if there was an issue. Disappointing first order.”
“Money taken but no order acknowledgement. Unable to speak to anyone on the phone or response to my email. However a delivery was attempted while I was out. Re delivery arranged but the plant received was labelled ‘cheese plant’ instead of the diamond anniversary rose ordered as a gift. No offer of a refund unless I arrange and pay to return. Awful customer service.”
“I'm amazed Carbeth Plants have the audacity to ask me to review their performance when they haven't bothered to respond to my complaint about the quality of the bulbs I was sent. It seems they think a standard reply that makes it clear my email hasn't even been read will be sufficient to encourage me to write a good review. Appalling! I recommend you take your business elsewhere.”
“Very disappointing.I ordered an onion set with 100 when it arrived there were only 64 bulbs in the box not 100 .6 of the bulbs were rotten.When I contacted Carbeth Plants I was told it goes on weight.The advert did not mention weight nor does the invoice in the box which states 100.This makes the onoion sets very expensive.”
“The onion set arrived and should have been 100 sets as advertise and per the label in the box.There were only 64 sets in the box, 5 of which were no good.Contacted Carbeth Plants only to be told we go by weight.This was false advertising as I expected 100 sets.”
“Was promised a delivery date of Monday 16th whuch was what i needed because the plants were for me to take to a funeral 200 miles away on Tuesday 17th. Given delivery as before 8pm. Message received sorry for delat now expected 19th. I am doing a 400 mile round trip tomorrow, the rose bushes were a speciak variety for family members. Am i now expected to do snother 400 mile round trip. I wohld not have ordered hsd i known you cant meet delivery deadlines promised. Th add insult yo injury advised i can only request a refund if not receivrd by 19th.”
“Very disappointed, I've sent 2 emails regarding the condition of the plant and have had no response. Plant was bone dry and had difficulty getting it out of the pot because it was pot bound”
“Well ordered 2 rhubarb crowns 2 weeks ago, nothing received, no answer to emails or phone. Absolute disgusting company, will take this up with my credit card and Trading standards.”
