“I ordered a Peace Rose and a Chicago Rose in March. They arrived at the beginning of April and I planed them straight away. I am very concerned on their appearance are they alive.? All my other roses are well advanced some with buds.”

“I purchased 2 items - a grape vine and 12 strawberry plants. The grape vine was fine but the strawberry plants arrived in poor condition. I did contact you but was told to give them a few weeks to recover. They arrived dead and are still dead. I have replaced them with plants from a local garden centre”

“I ordered 6 tomato plants and when delivered only 4 were healthy, 2 were no use at all. Very disappointing because they were supposed to be a gift.”

“Order no 7839705. Plant was delivered in a dented box, the trunk was broken in two and several branches broken. Carrier promised to replace it. They say the replacement was delivered and received yesterday - not true. Have emailed Carbeth Plants and hope they will help.”

“Unfortunately the delivery was a shambles. In site of my contacting the deliverers and Carbeth they came after a week of being in the back of a delivery van. The boxes were crushed. The strawberry plants were leggy and yellow leaved. The raspberry canes were bone dry. The wallflowers were bent over and yellowing. I am having a go at planting them in the hope that they will flourish. I have however lost a weeks planting time. I would like a partial refund for staying in for two wasted time slots for failed deliveries with no explanations or apologies, the battered packaging, the poor condition of the plants and the poor customer service from Carbeth which culminated in being told the onus was on me to take the issue up with the deliverers completely ignoring the responsibility of the supplier. I”

“I ordered rhubarb Plants and was dissatisfied with the quality after complaining. A replacement was sent which was marginally better but certainly nothing like I was led to believe so I won’t be ordering again”

“Was a returning customer. Paid for next day delivery and submitted the order 3 hours before the deadline but arrived 2 days later. I emailed but just had a reply detailing the time to expect it. No apology or refund for the additional money paid for the ‘express’ delivery. So a disappointing experience.”

“Obviously hadn’t been checked, covered with squashed developing mushrooms, some 6-7 evolved and the quality and taste was excellent. The rest never came to anything. We have now set it aside for a second flush and the rest time is up today No sign of any activity but we will follow the instructions and see if anything happens”

“Very badly packed. All 3 pots/plants on their sides and soil had come out. I had to re-pot them all. I paid for "No plastic". The pot wrapper was compostable but the pots were normal plastic! Mis-description??”

“On receipt, the Christmas tree was very tightly packed (netting and polythene). Having removed this and then letting the tree settle outside, I then found half a dozen branches had broken or partially boken off. The pot was also split and TBH seems on the small side for the tree size (4 feet). I was surprised that no information was included with it regards what to do on receipt, watering, repotting for the future etc. For now, I'm hoping that repotting it after Christmas and giving it time to then recover and establish itself for next year will be the best approach. However, overall, a disappointing purchase in terms of quality and value for money.”

“For the first time ever, disappointed with my latest order of a white Christmas cactus! Very small and spindly,most flower buds knocked off due to lack of packaging. Was going to be a present but I'll have to keep it for myself.”

“First time customer but first impression was no a postive one, the plant was in a very poor state the sort you find on a bargain almost dead trolley that most garden centers have. However I contacted you and hopefully now things have been sorted out.”

“Unfortunately this email, asking for my review, has been sent to me before Carbeth plants have bothered to even respond to a complaint I sent two days ago, via email, phone and their contact address. So this only adds to my dissatisfaction. Rather than go into too much detail…The ‘four foot’ tree was just over three foot, the bottom of the tree looked like it had been eaten by a wolf and their choice of delivery method (a company called DX) was fraught with delays and miss information. Apart from that….At least the tree arrived.”

“Tree arrived at the time arranged. I visited B&Q later the same day and the exact variety (healthier looking as mine has a bare patch on one side near the base) were on sale for one third of the price. Will buy directly from them next time. Also, I contacted you about advice around repotting but didn't get a response.”

“Got cat grass as as going on holiday and our own seeds had not came through totally It a has lasted 1 week and poor quality , Will be looking elswhere in future as this has happened before and we relied on this for our fur babies”
