“After two delivery notifications, the plant didn't arrive at the address it should have done. I am still waiting for an update on when my lovely friend based in Northern Island will receive the plant I ordered her in memory of her grandmother who sadly passed away.”
“If they looked anything like what was shown in the marketing promo that would have been wonderful. One of the bamboos had died.
We won’t be using your company again
Wishing you the best for 2025”
“Ordered two plants, paid for two, one arrived notified Carbeth by email. They want me to take a photograph of the empty box, brilliant, no more orders from me”
“It's a shame we can't leave ZERO stars. An elderly couple purchased pond plants for their daughter's Christmas present (I am the daughter). Goods apparently sent 14th December, no tracking number provided. We are now January 9th and still no plants..... an email requesting a refund was responded to with "your parcel is on its way" and blaming Royal Mail's tracking system.. Not good enough. Even if the plants were to arrive, they would be dead by now! Two telephone numbers give recorded message stating message box full, you can't leave a message. Absolute disgrace! You are in contravention of the sale of goods act 1979, Distance selling regulations and WILL be reported to Trading Standards.”
“no customer service for Carbeth or of DX delivery to speak to, STILL waiting 10 days later for something that was supposed to be delivered next day, unable to resolve issue.”
“Unfortunately the plant was packaged badly and the plant was very dry, and out of the pot , the plant was for my mum aged 104 and she was very disappointed at her Christmas gift. Unfortunately I don’t have any photos as she lives in Dorset ( I live in Norfolk) and doesn’t have a phone with a camera”
“Worst Christmas tree I have ever had. Needles falling from the day it arrived and some branches virtually bare after only a week. Tree not straight and branches have been cut back unevenly. Will definitely not be buying from nor recommending your company again. Total waste of £45.00”
“I recently purchased a Christmas tree from your store, and I am extremely disappointed with the product I received. The tree arrived in terrible condition—it was dry, and the needles were falling off in large quantities. Additionally, the tree was crooked and unstable and kept tipping over. To make matters worse after decorating it and setting it up in my home, it fell, causing a huge mess and breaking several valuable ornaments (as shown in the attached pictures). It is truly appalling that such a poor-quality product was sold for such a high price! I am completely dissatisfied with this purchase. Never again!”
“Absolutely disgusting service and now I am left with a tree that cost £65 that I could have bought from Tesco or Asda for about £30.
Firstly on October 7th I placed a pre order for a Colorado blue spruce and paid £100 to these cowboys happy in the knowledge come this Christmas I will have a potted 5ft blue spruce which once Christmas is over I can plant in the back garden.
Earlier last week I received an email saying my order had been processed and I will be expecting my tree shortly... happy days I thought.
The following day I received an email saying sorry we are out of 5ft blue spruce Christmas tree but we can offer you a 4ft one or an alternative tree such as a Norway spruce plus £5.
Obviously unhappy at this I tried to phone and on the 100... yes 100 occasions I phoned it become apparent theses cowboys don't answer the phone, I did comment how they can answer emails pretty quick though.
Being so near to Christmas now, and having a look on google I couldn't find an alternative blue spruce so I reluctantly decided to take a 5ft Norway spruce.
I was told this would be delivered on Friday of last week, it never turned up and I had to chases it with the courier myself, it eventually arrived tuesdatb(4 days late)
Let's just say the tree is a Man's 5ft (over exaggerated) and if measured by a woman it's very much nearer the 4ft mark. It also has more holes in it than a fishing net, is crooked and has saw marks along the trunk. It is green though and it has pines so I suppose that something.
Contacted trading standards about these clowns and false advertising but was told as long as they offered a full refund they have done everything right, this doesn't take in to account they had my money for 8 weeks gaining interest and didn't put my order to one side / reserved.
Obviously customer satisfaction is the last thing on these cowboys mind, I recommend everyone reads the reviews before giving these idiots money, if you do order expect to be disappointed.
They gave me £20 back as a good will gesture, I will just buy loads of tinsel and even though you can't polish a turd / tree I might be able to get this turd / tree to sparkle a little.
Please don't buy from here, I won't be doing again!”
“Terrible customer service! I contacted by email on the day my Christmas tree was delivered (19/11/2024) and still no resolution to my problem! I ordered a 5ft potted Christmas tree. Upon arrival I noticed it was not able to sit up in its pot. Leaning over and not stable. Not to mention, the tree was an entire foot shorter than it was meant to be! Only 4ft tall! I expect a refund for the difference of price between a 4ft and 5ft tree as I was truly scammed! I sent photo evidence with a measuring tape. I even told the company I local and willing to return the tree. It’s now been 3 weeks, without responding! I would most definitely NOT recommend this company!”
