My daughter has recently returned from Ecuador the stories she tells and the life changing experiences have truly changed her outlook on life . Thank you for giving her the opportunity. You supported us from the moment we signed up. A truly professional organisation that I would thoroughly recommend to anyone

I went on the PADI scuba expedition to Ecuador and I had an amazing time. The whole experience was out of this world and I cannot recommend it highly enough. All of the camps were brilliant and the staff at each camp were friendly and accommodating. Our leader from Camps International, and by the looks of it all of the other leaders we saw, were incredibly friendly and fun and made the expedition even better. All round my expedition to Ecuador was a once in a lifetime trip that I am very happy I took the opportunity to participate in.

I loved every second of my expedition! My leaders Tom Colston and Nik Mouzakitits were just as amazing. The project work I enjoyed the most was whenever the community got involved such as the local children when working in schools. However there was a slight language barrier with the staff that we worked with whilst in Ecuador. Thank you for the opportunity.

Committing to raising what felt like such a huge amount of money to venture to Borneo for a month at first seemed like an unrealistic and unjustifiable challenge. However, actually going to the beautiful country almost 2 years later, I can honestly say that every penny was worth it. The difference we felt like we made to the locals is overwhelming. Everyday we were immersed in the culture and got stuck in building, cement making, bricklaying and so much more to complete projects just to give a village something as simple and necessary as water. We always knew the overall aim of our projects and the difference it would be making, which only spurred us on to break records and complete projects. To add to this, the Camps International staff and volunteers were amazing. Every member of staff was attentive and cared about the welfare of the volunteers. Any issue we had was addressed promptly and in such a way we did not feel as though we were being a burden. We felt attached to the camps and did not went to leave when our time was over. I would say Bongkud especially was an amazing camp which we were all very reluctant to say goodbye to. My only criticism of the trip would be the upselling of Camp Mantanani. We all used Mantanani as motivation to get through difficult times as we all knew it would be a beautiful place to visit, although due to a typhoon we were unable to get there. We were all very understanding of this but maybe if it hadn't been upsold so much we wouldn't have been disappointed! Overall, the trip was amazing. Everyone tried their hardest at all times and everyone was there to make a difference to people's lives. The teachers who came with us were amazing - they wanted us to enjoy the trip as much as possible and stopped at nothing to make sure we were all happy. Our Camps leader, Nick, was also fantastic. He looked out for all of us and we could not fault his leadership within the group. I have made some amazing friends on this trip and memories that will last forever. Volunteering with Camps International is something I would definitely consider in the future and something I would without a doubt recommend to others.

Went on the months voluntary expedition this year to Tanzania and words cannot explain how incredible the whole experience was. Our camps leader Alison was absolutely incredible!the staff at the camps couldn't of done anything more for you and we're always so happy. I would highly recommend going on a trip organised by camps international, even though it can be very expensive the experience makes it worth it 100%

I just got back from co-leading a school trip for 27 12-16 year-olds to Vietnam. The trip was great fun, with a nice level of challenge, lovely food and helpful guides. We have used Camps International for two previous trips to Borneo and Cambodia and will be very happy to go away with them again. I have had very positive dealings with staff there during planning and in the course of our trips. Thanks guys! See you next year.

I was with Camps International for a month in Kenya and i really loved it. The local staff were all so friendly and it was great to get to know all of them. I was with 7 other people roughly my own age (18) and I got along with them all really well. I'd definitely suggest for others to do this as it is such a fantastic opportunity and it has been one of the best times in my life.

I took a school group of 10, year 10 students in November 2014 and I was extremely pleased with the whole experience. Right from when we landed until we left, all staff were extremely helpful and knowledgable, making our experience in Cambodia a memorable one! The accommodation was just what you need and I enjoyed the simplicity of the camps set up. The community development was well organised and was made even more special with having local leaders with so much passion towards helping others. The food was amazing and the extra axtivites out side the community development was a nice treat. Overall, it was a fantastic experience for the teachers and students and one which I would thoroughly recommend.

I had a great time! I met great people, got the chance to reflect on myself and discover other parts of me, and gained a whole lot of life experience. This visit to Kenya surely was an eye-opener. However, I have my doubts as to how long the projects will be sustained after Camps International will stop actively contributing to the community. I got the feeling that the locals don't feel it very much necessary to keep doing the projects for their own good, so I'm afraid all the hard work will be lost once Camps International moves out of the community.

Hi Joris, I just thought I would reply to your message to reassure you that all of the projects we support are sustainable and long-term, and our camps are permanent. We never fully leave our projects, but instead regularly check with the community to see if there it anything else we can do. In fact, check out this blog for more information, http://www.campsinternational.com/blog/2015/03/the-real-meaning-of-sustainable-project-work :)

I have just taken 59 Grade 10 students on a short trip (one week) to Cambodia with Camps International. The experience was incredibly rewarding and the students came away with a new perspective on life. We were in the city of Phnom Penh for a day at each end of the trip and the programme was great, as were facilities. We were able to incorporate plenty of educational experiences along with some fun. The rest of the time was spent in a small village in the countryside. Facilities were quite basic, but clean and safe, and my students developed an appreciation of the life locals lead. Activities organised were sometimes tough, but the camp staff made them enjoyable and meaningful. The staff were also very flexible and so incredibly helpful. We could not have chosen a better place for our students to spend a short trip and the school intends to make this an annual event. Thanks Camps International - you rock!

I attended the Camps expedition to Peru in the summer of 2014. The best thing I have ever done! Met some incredible people, made some incredible friends and seen some incredible sites. I could not recommend it highly enough to anybody; the best thing you can and will ever do!

I led a group of 20 students to Peru in 2014. The expedition was first class. Everything was arranged and organised down to the minutia of details. We had nothing to worry about; everything was taken care of for us from the minute we landed in Peru to arriving home in the UK 4 weeks later. As a company I cannot praise them highly enough, the in- country staff were beyond helpful and made our expedition so enjoyable. We were fully supported by the UK team in the 2 year build up. There was nothing that was too much trouble for them. Two of students had 18th birthdays whilst out on expedition. The Camps staff organised birthday events and cakes to ensure the students birthdays were ones never to forget. The students had an extremely enjoyable experience and was life changing. The local communities made us so welcome, we developed a great fondness for the people we lived and worked amongst. One of the great highlights of the expedition was undertaking the five day trek to Machu Picchu, tough but so rewarding. If you are considering booking for an expedition I would recommend Camps International unreservedly. We loved it so much we have booked again for 2016.

I took a group of 17 students to Peru for a 4 week expedition in the Summer of 2014. Considering this was the first year that Camps International have operated in the company I thought that the organization and logistics were completed to an excellent standard. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience of completing project work in a variety of different communities and the 5 day expedition to Machu Picchu is one that myself and the team will never forget. For anyone considering taking a group of students away on an expedition of a lifetime then I would definitely recommend the company.
