I was in Peru for a month during the summer. It was a very enjoyable experience and definitely the best thing I have ever done. We were made very welcome by all the in country staff and the locals. The trip was very well organised and it was delivered extremely well. The people based within the UK were very helpful with any concerns or problems we had before are trip away. Camps is a great organisations with great people and people who are willing to help you out at every opportunity when needed

Spending my summer with Camps International in Borneo was one of the best things I have ever done and probably will ever do. I made unforgettable memories and lifelong friends, and we actually made a difference to people's lives. It was only a month and now I have the famous travelling bug! Camps has given me the confidence to travel again, and that, along with the experiences I had and the family I made are why I am so grateful to Camps International. Don't hesitate, if you're even thinking about this it will be one of the best decisions you'll ever make!

Ecuador 2014, what a fantastic adventure for all involved. The experiences my students had has already shaped their futures. The country and the people were warm and welcoming. Lots of giggles and tears as the kids grew as people, the memories of swimming with the seal lions will be a permenant one. I would not hesitate to recommend the experiences Camps can provide. Their ethical approach means that the work undertaken last summer by my students will have an impact for many years. We have already sign up for a new adventure in Cambodia in 2016. 15 very excited students already excited about the prospect.

Went to Tanzania in the summer of 2014 for 4 weeks, absolute best experience of my life by a very long way and thouroughly recommend. Only downside is that I caught malaria and the so called camps 'specialists' in the UK tried to dismiss this despite being diagnosed by a doctor out there. This led to me initially not receiving the correct treatment and getting worse before getting better. Despite this, I still gained some unbelievable memories and had the best 4 weeks of my life

Brilliant experience, real eye opener to a completely different yet interesting lifestyle. My time at Camp Tinangol was so rewarding and made even better due to the care and company of Kenny. Camp Batu-Puteh was so satisfying because of the wildlife. In my opinion the environmental work we did was fairly boring though.

Camps International trips are incredible and the best experience you will ever have. Everything is taken care of, from food to transport to clean water, so you don't get the surprise of lots of "hidden extras" or additional expenses in country, like you do with other gap year companies. Also Camps International are really focussed on completing worthwhile projects. A lot of other gap year companies start projects, like building classrooms or installing clean water, and then pack up and leave before the project is finished, leaving the community with an unusable half-built building. However because Camps International have permanent set-ups within local villages, they see things through to the end. They also employ the local people to help run their camps, so you really get to experience local life and meet people who've lived there all their lives. When you visit their camps you can really see the difference they have already made to the local communities, and it's a privilege and humbling to be able to help with whatever they're currently working on. Camps International agree with the local community leaders what the community needs most, so the projects are really worthwhile and valuable. You also get to have adventure add ons, like scuba diving or mountain trekking, so you get to experience some R&R / personal challenges as well as volunteering to help the local community and wildlife. Basically Camps International are awesome and I would definitely recommend travelling with them!!

More than four months on from returning from Borneo I can still same with complete certainty that my month away with Camps International was one of the best of my life. Never have I been surrounded with some wonderful, kind, funny and enthusiastic as all my team members, the staff and the locals. The work out there isn't for the lighthearted, you will sweat and cry and ache like never before, but what you're given back, and what you get out of it yourself is indescribable. Never have I felt more adrenaline in my life as laying down those final bricks. It truly makes you break all your self imposed limitations and shows that what you set your mind to you really can do. I came back a stronger, happier and healthier person with a much more positive outlook on life. I pine for Borneo almost every day and am certain my friends and family are sick of me going on about it. I have been infested with the travelling bug thanks to you guys and will not be satisfied until I have seen all the world has to offer. You have my deepest thanks for giving me an opportunity at 18 years old that many don't have in their lifetime. I hope to return with you one day! Hellie.

Just before I left for Borneo last summer I was so excited however very nervous, as soon as I got to the airport with the rest of my team, our leader Kate made us all feel a lot more relaxed and excited about going... When we first arrived in country we were met by some of the in country team members who welcomed us to the country and gave us all some background info about Borneo. The trip was amazing, going on many trips and adventures we could have only ever imagined of doing... It was amazing meeting other people both the other members of team "Belian" and the camps team out in country, I had the most wonderful time whilst being there and would love to go back, camps made the trip unforgettable I will 100% be travelling with them again in the summer of 2016, and would highly recommend to anyone else!! I am also so grateful that i got to meet the rest of my team we are all so close and travel up and down the county to see each other!
