Immerse Education is a two-week residential academic programme with a diverse and enriching curriculum, designed for 13-18-year-old students – providing a taster of what it’s like to study a subject at university level. Academic and Career sessions are carefully designed and taught by expert tutors in an optimal learning environment that stimulates academic enquiry. “It was an amazing experience to be challenged in an environment surrounded by others who are just as passionate and interested in your subject as you are. The debates, discussions and ideas explored were inspiring and embroiled me deeper within English than I’ve ever had the opportunity to go. We were taught about literature that was unfamiliar to me and over the two weeks I’ve learnt to love a wider spectrum of literature! I’ve loved the doors that my tutor at Immerse has opened for me and I’m now inspired more than ever to continue reading and explore areas of literature I’ve yet to uncover! My mentor was amazing at making you feel welcome from the very first moment when you arrived. It’s daunting on the first day; surrounded by people you’ve never met and in a new environment where you’re unsure what to expect. Having a friendly face that you can talk to or can laugh with really sets you off on the right track from the very start. It was a truly memorable and special experience; something that I would absolutely love to do again. I’ve made life-long friends and have memories that I’ll cherish forever!”

“I had one of the best times of my life at Cambridge Immerse. It give me so many skills that I have brought back to my home and everyday life. These skills include, the ability to meet new people with confidence and to balance my work with my social life. I met so many people that I still keep in contact with and it was these people that made my experience so incredible. The staff and mentors were always helpful and I am very grateful to my mentor for helping me through the first few days. Overall I had an incredible time at Cambridge Immerse and an experience I will never forget.”

“Cambridge immerse is the best opportunity to allow your knowledge and skills to develop, ready to take into the future with you. The courses are intriguing and give you a brilliant insight into what it is you choose to study - further impassioning you to explore the subject you are interested in. The best part is that you can take everything you learn away with you to use in your work because it is all relevant content, and an excellent example of wider reading that gives you more variance in the subject than what typical syllabi allow. To tie it all together, the mentors are of particular merit to the programme making all the students feel welcome, along with the tutors who encourage your interest in the subject you choose. “I enjoyed my two weeks at Cambridge. While the academics strengthened my passion for medicine, I also loved getting to know like minded students like me. This course gave me an insight into studying at Cambridge - I truly enjoyed studying under one of Cambridge's lecturers. “My experience was magical - no other word could better describe my experience. From the moment I stepped into my room until the moment I walked out of Queen's college - everything was memorable. The lessons were beyond than what I expected them to be - I learnt many new things, in fact everything I learnt was new to me! The tours (Cambridge was built in 1209!), afternoon & evening activities were all very exciting and interesting! Make sure to try Self Punting & Kayaking if you haven't already! The London excursion was so much fun as my friends and I got to walk around London with a map in our hands, trying our best not to get lost! Oxford trip was as exciting as every other activity - guided tour around Oxford and was also given free time to wander around! I've made friendships that I know will last for very long time. Enjoy every second you have in Cambridge Immerse, make the most out of it! This opportunity doesn't knock on your door twice :)”
