Beware of hidden charges and missed deliveries ! We guessed the amount we needed as usual and it was over what they could fit in the tank so got an extra £ charge. They also didn’t turn up on the promised day or say they were not coming. Poor customer service after . Would not use again!

ordered 1,200 litres of heating oil through the BoilerJuice website on 20 June and paid in full at the time of ordering. The oil was delivered on 29 June by the supplier that was the cheapest at the time, which was great. However, I noticed that the amount on the delivery note was lower than the amount I had paid to BoilerJuice. When I queried this, I was told that the difference was BoilerJuice's service charge. This wasn't made clear to me when I placed the order. As a business, I need accurate invoices for my accounts, and I've now had to ask BoilerJuice to issue a separate invoice showing their service charge so that my records balance. It's incredibly time-consuming to have to chase this up when life and running a business are hectic enough already. It's simply not ideal. Just a heads-up for other businesses using BoilerJuice: check your paperwork carefully. If the supplier's delivery note doesn't match what you've paid, you may need to request an additional invoice from BoilerJuice to account for their service fee. It's also worth being aware of these charges before placing your order.

I placed my central heating oil order in very good time, on 19 May '26. On 3 June ’26, BoilerJuice had emailed me to inform me that the delivery driver was unable to complete the delivery safely on a standard tanker. And that the supplier has advised your delivery would be better suited to a 4 wheeler. But no hint that the delivery would be cancelled. I replied to this on the same day that this is very strange indeed, and most concerning to me and my neighbours, with whom I have just discussed this issue. This because I have been living here for 10 years now and my oil has always been delivered by standard tanker. And there has never been any comment / feedback or even hint from any previous drivers that it is a problem for any reason whatsoever to deliver to me, or my neighbours further down the lane. I suggested that a review of the competency of the driver would be beneficial. On the afternoon of the following day, 4 June ’26, I received an email out of the blue (with no prior warning or hint that cancellation was a possibility) that my order is now cancelled. No reason was given for the cancellation. Consequently, I phoned BoilerJuice and explained that I have now lost 16 days since thinking my order was on its way, and that BoilerJuice has now placed me in the situation that my heating oil might now well run out before I can get a delivery. When I asked why my order had been cancelled, I was told that the reason was due to the tanker delivery driver having walked on the cattle grid at the start of my drive and that the cattle grid had bowed under his weight. I have no idea who this person was nor how heavy he is, but very heavily laden builders' trucks, earth moving equipment and approximately 30 tons of rubble on a tipper truck have traversed this cattle grid many times, including several times in the last few weeks. Not to mention daily Royal Mail vans, large delivery vans / trucks, etc. and my car. Consequently, I repeated my previous suggestion that a review of the competency of this specific driver could be beneficial. I was then quoted a price to deliver again, but with another at least 10 day delivery time. I requested that a replacement order should be placed on an express delivery basis, due to the fact that I could now run out of oil due to BoilerJuice’s poor performance. I was informed that the cost of this delivery - many tens of pounds extra - would have to be paid by myself, despite the difficult situation I had been put in being BoilerJuice's responsibility. BoilerJuice were adamant that I would have to pay this additional price to get my delivery earlier. I declined to make use of their services. Sometime after my phone call I received an email from BoilerJuice (i.e. no reason was given at the time of BoilerJuice sending the cancellation email to me) advising the above described reason for the cancellation of my order. Based on the above, I am sure that all would conclude that BoilerJuice offer an abysmally poor service with terrible customer communications and an awful attitude. I will certainly never use your services again. I pity anyone working for or associated with such a company.

Order not delivered both times on so called delivery days. After waiting 8 days cancelled order. After several emails and phone calls the best they could say was it may be delivered in the next three days, they took my payment within the hour of order placed now they are saying it will take 3 to 5 working days to refund my £485 to my PayPal account. Terrible customer service and pathetic excuses for why the delivery was late and why they couldn't tell me when it would be delivered. Steer clear of this company they are a joke. Anthony. Ripped off! An 'underdelivery charge' needs to be made clear at the point of ordering, not buried deep in a mountain of t's and c's. Sly, underhand, dishonest, unfair and just plain greedy. BoilerJuice admitted the charge was hidden, but wouldn't refund it, so I've closed my account. Would not recommend BoilerJuice. HomeFuels Direct have better pricing and don't charge hidden fees - I'll stick with them in future

Cancelled order this morning as Oil price drops 15% and suddenly they can deliver the same day. AMAZING. I bet if price had increased 15% they would have cancelled it. Like all the oil supply industry, no regulation and hence they can do what they want.

Terrible customer service, oil was due to be dilivered and a typo of 1 digit on house number out , neighbours spoke to driver told him it was us ,I spoke to driver who denied it was for use ,they had phone number yet didn’t try to contact us . After speaking boiler juice they where to re arrange order and call back they didn’t! Multiple emails and requests for call back never happened, wouldn’t honour price and been charged missed dilivery fee and cancelled order now about to run out and not able to get delivery for at least 10 days

Note. That BJ will apply £14.99 service charge even if you cancel the order due to them not telling you when or even if they will deliver. Or. Even how much oil we will receive for the money which has already been taken. Customer service will just keep sending you repeated patronising emails telling you , “ we charge £14.99 on every order”! Yes. We know that. Why do you deem it acceptable to charge that when you won’t even commit to delivery???????? We gave you chances to resolve. Ombudsman has been contacted.

Waited 2.5 weeks cancelled on day of delivery last thing.Stephens oil blaming boiler juice saying they run out of oil 9 days ys before rubbish and boiler juice new . Boiler juice saying Stephen oil hasn't told them. They enter a contract and if they don't fulfill they are accountable.it is their duty by law to compensate difference in costs of they cancel and you pay.higher price. They are hiding from this.Ignoring emails when I told them not to cancel. No records. No update and reassuring me daily it was coming.See you in court .with all the other vulnerable people boiler juice are misleading. No excuse extreme circumstances. You have a legal duty to compensate people's losses

Ordered before Iran war best price I could find was with boiler juice given a delivery time with certas two days after delivery was cancelled saying the driver of the day advised a baby tanker would be more suitable I have lived here for 20 years always had a standard tanker last 3 from certas!!! My advice go with your local supplier it may be slightly more expensive but at least you can talk to someone if there's a problem.

Do not engage with Boiler Juice. Ordered and paid for delivery before the fuel issues arose. The day before delivery my order was cancelled! On phoning a clearly under pressure customerline could offer a new order if I bought within 3 days and paid 120% more. I consider this to be price gouging as direct contact with several local suppliers was significantly less. They have no actual fuel resource and are a pretty incompetent in establishing a supply at the cost they agree with the customer. In effect they offer fuel they don't have at a cost they cannot deliver. I am forwarding full details both to Trading Standards and the Competition Markets Authority and would advise others to do the same. I would rate them at zero stars.

Ordered on 17th Feb for delivery on or before 25th Feb (so well pre-War). Now had 6 dates with the emails saying the order is routed out for delivery followed by various excuses for non-delivery - tanker broke down, needed a smaller tanker. But still no oil received. Doesn't seem possible to get a contact with them at the moment so presuming they are having serious problems. Luckily paid by credit card so should get a refund if they go under, but will have to pay significantly more for my oil.

A regular customer. Ordered oil pre ‘war’ increase for delivery 13 March Email received today saying they were unable to access my property(3rd)and I would have to cancel and get a refund! I was there.. they were not. Rang and they said sorry..cancel and you will get a full refund!!’. I did.. 3 hours later a refund minus their service charge of £14/15 pounds!!! Rang them .. nothing they can do. Theft. Utter theft!… not a company I would deal with again ever.

Do not in any way, shape or form bother. They CANNOT control your order. They failed to arrange delivery of my oil 5 TIMES. the consequences? My 1 year old daughter freezin, without hot water, an astronomical electrical bill and excuses for the worst service I've ever received. Their solution? 1p a litre (which totalled just over £5). I complained and NOONE will help you I've had it escalated and THEY WILL NOT BOTHER. They cannot even meet their promise of calling you back. I am going to the press, UKIFDA(their regulator) and trading standards as noone should go through what I've been through. They are a disgusting bunch of crooks. My advice is go direct to supplier as trust me this is not worth it

DO NOT USE. I would rate 0/5 stars if I could. Unless you have a brand new oil tank I would not recommend - had no issues for multiple orders from Boiler Juice until today when they organised a new supplier and the driver fabricated a story that our oil tank was leaking so they could not deliver. Leaving us with no heating fuel in the middle of winter. The tank is older and shows some wear and tear but is in PERFECTLY good USABLE condition with NO LEAKS and is regularly serviced. We have had no previous issues until TINCKNELLS FUELS were used to deliver. Boiler Juice have now decided to deduct £40 from my payment due to this. Rude customer service individual who HUNG UP on me when I tried to accelerate the refund process after delivery failure. I would recommend using WESTERN FUEL direct who funilly enough have no issues delivering to our oil tank. Absolutely disgraceful customer service. Will never use again.

I addressed why boiler juice need to confirm scheduling in my last email after not receiving a heating delivered schedule for over three weeks but it’s ok to leave a vulnerable person ‘NOW LATE’ stating this as it was plain to see boiler juice should be aware of scheduling issue to meet customers advised latest delivery dates! Boiler juice just blame the suppliers who are very easily contactable in my experience from finally picking the phone up after boiler juice distracting the supplier will refuse to speak to me! The supplier actually now has my direct orders. You idiots at boiler juice just carry on saying ‘I don’t know it’s the suppliers issue’ for a leading company is disgusting. I didn’t expect an apology but I will be complaining and taking this as far as I can including the papers and social media I was told last week the supplier hadn’t confirmed… you are a market place chase or change suppliers!!! No wonder boiler juice have a disclaimer to all customers before speaking to a human you are all no better than uneducated call centre staff with 0 intelligence I can imagine a customer getting frustrated with having no hot water or heating is abuse to you woke wet wipes. Try thinking for yourselves 🤯. Instead of hiding behind a rubbish company’s policies. If you want customer service don’t bother.

Avoid at all costs. I ordered oil as my supply was running low and chose BoilerJuice specifically because they offered the earliest delivery date. The oil did not arrive on the date I paid for. When I contacted customer service, I was simply told that the order was delayed, no further updates were available, and that I would have to wait until it eventually turned up. After waiting another four days, I called again and was told they still didn’t know when it would arrive — maybe later that week, maybe the next — with no ability to give a delivery date at all. Despite this, they refused to cancel the order and issue a full refund unless they deducted a “service charge” from the repayment. As a result, I was forced to place an emergency order with another supplier at a much higher cost just to avoid running out of oil. Terrible communication, no accountability, and completely unhelpful customer service. I would strongly advise anyone considering using this company to look elsewhere.

BoilerJuice are trying to charge me for a “ failed delivery” which was not my fault. I can give further details if I have to. O have written to the CEO. Such a shame as until Christmas Eve I had always been very happy with Boilerjuice’s service.

Dreadful Service and Avoidable Aggregation: Buy Direct Instead! I had an utterly dreadful experience with boilerJuice.com Dealing with them was incredibly frustrating, especially when facing an urgent need for kerosene. Their entire operation seems designed to be a barrier rather than a facilitator. Key Issues Encountered: Inexperienced Call Centre Staff: The service provided by their call centre staff was poor. They appeared inexperienced and lacked the necessary information or authority to resolve time-sensitive issues and failed to return any calls Aggregating, Not Delivering: BoilerJuice acts as an intermediary, aggregating orders and negotiating with third-party suppliers. This process is inherently flawed, as their system is reportedly updated only once or twice a day, making it completely incapable of dealing with genuine emergency requests. Delivery Failure: After agreeing on a specific delivery date, the delivery failed entirely. This is unacceptable for a critical service. Profiteering Intermediary: They charge a fee for a service that is slower and more expensive than going direct to distributors; what are the USP's? The Solution: Buy Direct I bypassed BoilerJuice and contacted a distributor directly: Barton Petroleum in Northampton. Better Price: Barton Petroleum quoted a price for kerosene that was £0.07 a litre LESS than BoilerJuice. Reliable Service: They were capable of organising next-day delivery, demonstrating a service with "teeth" that the aggregator simply cannot match. My strong advice is this: Rather than buying fuel from an aggregator like BoilerJuice who charges a fee and is reliant on an antiquated rather than a real-time system, buy directly from the distributor. Negotiate the best deal you can and rely on a service that can actually deliver on its promises. Avoid the intermediaries who are simply profiteering from service charges and completely in the hands of third party service.
