I placed and paid for an order for 1000lts of fuel. Delivery was due on or before Sep 9th. No delivery was made and Boilerjuice confirmed delivery by 11th September. On 11th September, they told me the supplier had delivered only 224lt. I wrote back to say there had been no delivery at all. On 12th September BJ said they would investigate and get back to me and refunded the 776lt not delivered. I asked for a replacement delivery and explained that we had no oil. They asked if there was anyone over the age of 75 in the house. I said my 85 year old mother would be here on the 17th September. They said they couldn't take further orders while this one was in query. Since the I have called on 4 separate occasions and asked to speak with a Manager. On each occasion I have been told that they are 'not allowed' to connect the call to a Manager but promised a callback. Surprise, surprise, you guessed it. A week has gone by with no callback, no apology, no refund, no compensation and I have had no option but to purchase oil from a local supplier at short notce at a higher price. I would politely suggest the Directors of this business, Rose Brewin, Tim Buckman and Charles Crier review how their Management team manager their customer service. It's a core indication of a good business that they can handle issues not just take money. It's both interesting and noteworthy that Boilerjuice's automated phone service explains to callers that 'staff will not tolerate abusive behaviour and that their agents are here to help. Any abuse may result in the termination of the call.' One wonders why they state this and whether their customer service is of such a poor standard that it enrages their customers ....

To be fair and balanced, the ordering and value is good, that's why I've given 3stars,but that's where it stops, getting a delivery date is a lottery! And once you get allocated a date ,no time slot ?, so in theory you need to be available to receive the delivery for a 24hr period, l declined a early delivery and put it off for a week because of appointments , only to be given a next day delivery date?, no time slot, l emailed the customer service and told them l couldn't guarantee anybody been it to take delivery, but no response, so what happens if the delivery isn't completed due to no access , you will get charged , so ringing round getting a good deal, now turns out to be a expensive deal. That tells me their doing this because it's beneficial to them and not the customer , There are other good companies that will give you time slots and dates to suit, next time l order I will only go with a company that deliveres when it suits me not them.

Rubbish service. Ordered next day delivery but Boilerjuice claimed the delivery driver could not access! Then claimed they sent pics of the poor access. Never received!! Complete lie!! We have been here 22 years and never had any issue before. Now have problems with our Aga. Because of their dishonesty!

Be Aware! I received a charge of £25 for underestimating the oil needed by a minor 200 litres!

Paid in advance to boiler juice who. It says on our order to call 30 minutes before arrival. The driver didn’t bother. We said we would be there in 5 minutes he wouldn’t wait. Now they have charged us £40 for not delivering. We’ve asked for the money back minus the £40 we are both pensioners. So we went directly to an oil company. It works out much cheaper cutting out the middle man

Ordered oil with note that needed long hose to carry it over a bridge a couldn't drive on the bridge. The last 2 orders were delivered fine with this note. Last week they say they can't do that, so oil not delivered. I ring and speak to someone, they say will sort and redeliver. They come back today, same problem. I needed it delivered prior to a funeral which is leaving from my house. They won't guarantee that and pay for the extra, expecting me to. So, to summarise: I ordered oil weeks ago with a note that it needed to go over the bridge, as it had previously. Their supplier refused to deliver it, I was clear what was needed, then they won't cover the uplift to the higher price to get it delivered before a funeral leaves from my house. Even if there wasn't the funeral to deal with, they still failed to deliver the oil, I've wasted my time on 3 phone calls, and have now cancelled the order and will have to source from elsewhere. How appalling.

We ordered oil on the 19th February …it was to be delivered on the 5th March. On the 7th March we were emailed to say that the supplier couldn’t deliver! No explanation! I phoned Boiler Juice several times asking for an explanation and a date for delivery. No response. By Monday we were almost out of oil. The company were aware that we are in our 80’s and vulnerable..again phoned several times ..in distress by now as the forecast was for cold weather. I was given the complete run around..eventually a text was received saying that a standard tanker had been unable to our property, a complete lie as the same company had delivered many times before using a standard tanker. Eventually a text was received stating that we would have oil by Thursday….22 days after we had ordered and paid for it! Outrageous that they would leave two old people who had been loyal customers with no heating or hot water for days…a truly appalling company. We were advised to phone another company who not only will deliver the next day but wouldn’t charge extra for this service because of the situation we had been left in! I don’t expect an apology…but any decent company woukd want to make amends!?

What a con! We ran out of heating oil in February and had sick children in the house, so I paid extra (about £250 extra) to have the oil delivered quicker. They oil was not delivered on the day promised (it was delivered later when I would not have had to pay the extra). I got £25 compensation! Don't trust them! They sell you a service, don't provide it, and then keep your money! All they say is that the oil provider doesn't give any more compensation. Not their fault! Promises broken, your money gone!

Delivery driver claims to have called and left a voicemail, but didn't. They then cancelled the delivery and charged me £51.99 due to not being able to deliver (despite them being told there was no access to the tank when the order was made and that contact was required for access). Dealing with Boiler juice's customer service team as a middle-man to resolve the issue was useless as they just blame the delivery company. Driver has conveniently deleted his call logs from that day so they cant provide evidence of calling. Save yourself a lot of effort and just go direct to any oil provider. ANY oil provider will be more useful than BoilerJuice.

Appalling company. Ordered on 10th Feb for 24th Feb delivery. Phoned on 24th as no delivery notification received. Have spent all week chasing and just get fobbed off with "we're awaiting an update from the supplier". I called the supplier directly but they can't help as the contract is with Boiler Juice, not them. So left with little option but to cancel and now pay a premium to get an express delivery from a local supplier. I won't use Boiler Juice again and strongly advise others not to either.

Do not use this Company. They fail to deliver on appointed date and customer service totally disinterested.

Terrible company. Was told we would get an oil delivery on 18 th Feb and it didn’t turn up, after a phone call I was told it wouldn’t be arriving until the following Tuesday. This order was for a 93 yr old lady who needs her heating on all day and was running low. After using this company for approx 20 years NEVER AGAIN.

Avoid this company!! .. as with other reviews order delayed by over a week on agreed date no resolution with any confidence given. Cancellation resulted in charges .. customer service staff friendly but completely powerless - I never leave reviews but others should know the real issues and pay a bit more from a different company for piece of mind

No oil even though waited two weeks and last date was yesterday. They will not look into it until after the due date and they will do it when they have time apparently. They say it's the suppliers problem and not theirs as my contract is now with them even though they gave my order to a supplier with NO OIL!!! You could not make it up!

What a truly awful company to deal with. Having failed to make the delivery, the company then cancelled the delivery, leaving me to arrange a new delivery. At no stage during the process was I able to speak to anyone in the company other than the customer services staff. After each conversation with the customers services I was promised a call from a supervisor who would help me to resolve the situation and despite repeated request, the call from a supervisor never happened. Dont use this company, they are awful.

I ordered oil expecting next day delivery, aparently truck broke down so i was told no delivery for 5. So i decided to cancel that order as compensation was 1p per liter not enough to cover extra i paid for next day. Placed new order for delivery on same day as they told me late delivery would arrive, although they still offered next day for premium.i was told i would recieve full refund for cancelled order, checked my bank and received refund less £12.00 not a lot of money but principal is dishonest and highlights money grabbing above customer service sums this company up.

Absolutely terrible service! I ordered heating oil at the beginning of January, thinking that this was plenty of time before I needed it, The first scheduled delivery was 13th January, which would have been fine, however, a notification that the oil would not be delivered arrived on the 14th! Then the next scheduled delivery was 20th January, this was now getting slightly worrying as the oil was now into the reserve! I called Boilerjuice, once again the oil had not been delivered. Then as I explained that this was critical, a delivery was scheduled for today, 22nd January!!!!! Still no oil, I'm now on the verge of completely running out, which means no hot water, central heating!! So who will have to pay if this happens for the bleeding of the system. The response i received from BoilerJuice at 17:00 was theirs nothing they can do today, so call again tomorrow morning at 08:00!! This is horrendous customer service, no empathy or concern on the outcome! This will be the last time I use them and I will advise all my friends, family that use them, not to in the future!

Terrible experience. Had a prepaid express order and driver refused to deliver as boiler not fitted. Plumber, other contractors, other oil companies I spoke to had never heard of this before. BoilerJuice took a week (having asked for photos of boiler) and 5 phone calls plus 4 emails to address issues. Nowhere on their website, T&Cs, order emails or oil regs is this stated. They apologised but didn't honour original order and tried to charge extra £300 (50% more) for urgent redelivery which was over a week late. They even tried to keep admin fee, but after escalating will be refunding. I have now gone elsewhere and direct to supplier.

I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with this company and its customer service team. I ordered 500 liters of oil, but the delivery did not arrive on the scheduled date. The following day, I was informed that the delivery had been marked as failed, and I was subsequently told I would need to pay an additional £40 for redelivery. The first customer service representative I spoke with was unhelpful and showed little empathy for my situation, merely stating that I would need to pay the £40 or I would not receive my order. The second representative, while slightly more accommodating, was still insistent on the £40 charge without offering a satisfactory resolution. As of now, I have neither received the oil nor a refund, and after reading through other reviews, it appears that many customers have faced similar issues. Given the ongoing difficulties, I am left with no choice but to consider pursuing legal action or initiating a chargeback through my credit card company. I would not recommend this company to anyone based on my experience. Tom Lincolnshire
