I have been a loyal customer of BoilerJuice for many years even advocating their service to others. Over the past few years I’ve noticed the service delivery decreasing. I have been using the connected service, where they specify the direct debit amount and monitor your tank so you don’t run out. Although on 3 occasions I have run out leaving myself and my family without hot water or heating, and resulting in higher charges for emergency delivery and plumber call out charges. BoilerJuice take no responsibility for this, and have stated they only top up if you have sufficient credit for an order. They don’t make any attempt to call or contact in any way to let you know you are running low or that they cannot order, they just don’t. Also if you aren’t careful they will place orders for high volumes at high prices, they were never supposed to do this, the point was they monitor and arrange deliveries in time and at the lowest cost. And if you cancel a delivery they place at high rates, they charge you a cancellation fee. It is clear from me that they just aren’t the agile business they were. I have written complaints to the senior management team and no one replies apart from a customer service person who’s options to help are very limited. After many years I have just cancelled, it seems if you talk to your local supplier they can give you great prices anyway, and seem to actually want to help and give you good service. A terrible shame, I gave them many opportunities to work with me to rectify this or at least pay for my plumber fees, but no, they seem comfortable losing business. I’ve given a 2 but right now that’s 2 too many really.

You email people with a fake link eg.( quick quote) and it doesn’t open. You are not very professional. Sort yourselves out.

Ordered two lots of 500l one to my address , one to another address, the information was not transferred so only the one address went through , waited few days then had a message to say I would have to re order , luckily Peter who was v helpful sorted this out - 3 weeks later finally have a text to advise delivery.

Delivery due yesterday and no communication. Office not open on a Saturday so no update available. Price has now fallen considerably since the order was paid for so I am hoping this is reflected in an adjustment to the price paid.

Ordered 600 litres of heating oil and they only delivered 500. They will not deliver the remaining 100 litres and will not supply it later at the same price. They say they have refunded my money - but I am still waiting! Dismal!!

First the driver couldn't find the house had to ring for directions he was told not to go up the yard which he ignored on doing so he pulled some power lines down and didn't have the the decency to report it so I don't think I shall use Boiler Juice again. John.

The website is good but from there it goes downhill. No customer service. A live chat that doesn't work. No phone number, limited hours etc. Shoestring company - good idea but need to invest in people as well as technology.

You sent me a text on 2 March advising that I should top up my account by circa £440 to ensure I was included in your bulk order for oil that was going to be made that forthcoming weekend . The following day I input £500 into my account . When I did not receive confirmation that an oil order had been made I entered into an online chat with Boilerjuice to eventually be told that no supplier could be found in my area and therefore no order had been made but I was then assured that an order would then be made. Still no oil order confirmation which resulted in me phoning Boilerjuice and making an order myself and having to pay a premium for deliver . I have now received a delivery with no help from your 'monitoring ' service. I recognise that there are problems with oil deliveries at the moment but why am paying a monthly administration charge when I'm left to undertake the work myself .

Your Live Chat doesn't work, I can't see how to look at the current oil level, queries by email aren't dealt with properly and getting something done over the phone is either impossible or very very difficult.

I would advise that you steer clear of boiler juice. I am sick and tired of receiving advice that my tank levels are reading around 35% mark when by dipping I can see that the level is near 75%. I have had notification about 3 times in the past that I am receiving a delivery which twice because of oil levels i tried to cancel with both boiler juice and the devilry firm about 4 times without any but still it turned up for on two occasions driver admitted could get the delivery in and once only managed 340 galls of the 500 they had ordered without any authority last time I checked prices from local supplier who was 2p. per litre cheaper so bought that and again their delivery was turned away. I intend to cancel my contract with them if I can make contact with them which isn't easy My advice tread carefully

If you can get through to by phone you are lucky. There’s nothing better than speaking to someone. Unfortunately Boilerjuice don’t have the staff and have a online chat method that also has a long wait. It’s not a happy experience. The people if you are lucky enough to talk to them are great. They just have to sort themselves out so the customer experience exists and is better. Especially in these times with massive cost increases.

Would be nice to get our delivery that was supposed to arrive on the 22nd November (paid extra) now we’ve no oil and a very cold disabled son until Monday (29th) at the earliest … Ordered on the 16th !! Money was taken straight away . False promises of calling me back.. advised to go and get some oil from B&Q until they can get an order out to us .. shocking service !

Will charge you well over the top for deliveries that are not over 2 weeks away. Will also charge you £ 10 over the top of your order if they cannot get the amount ordered into your oil tank. Total rip off.

I have a 2000 ltr tank but for some unknown reason your tankers seem to deliver 500 ltrs at anyone time. Your new system seems therefore to maximise the number of drop-offs when would expect minimising the number of drop-offs would be a more obvious strategy.

Oil was delivered ahead of date given to me and before my boilerjuice supplement arrived. I understand that the supplement should be placed in the tank BEFORE the oil, but my query in this respect has gone unanswered

Good Afternoon Kenneth, Thank you very much for your feedback, although we are sorry to hear you were not entirely happy with the service you have received. Having checked your order, we can see that this was placed on a 5 day express option for expected delivery on or before 10th May, meaning that your delivery can be made any one of those 5 working days between the order being placed & the expected latest date for delivery. Although the bottle of additive arrived after your delivery was made, it can still safely be added to your tank. The additive is self mixing so will disperse and mix with the oil already in your tank. We are very sorry you report that your email has not been responded to. On checking our system under the email address on your account, and your order number, unfortunately we are unable to locate any emails received from you. Better vetting of delivery operatives. The driver who came to our house knocked over and broke a planter containing a plant, but didn’t bother telling us. We were at home and witnessed him standing on our patio furniture to reach the fill hole on the tank, rather than using a ladder or the like. Very poor and unprofessional service!

Unfortunately the very early (by 9/10 days) of my heating oil, meant that the tank did not have enough room to take the amount I'd ordered. The notification of delivery arrived after the delivery. I paid in full at the time of order, but have not yet received a credit (£80 ish) as my online account says that the full amount was delivered. The print out from the tanker shows the reduced amount, so the discussions continue.

Ordered on the 9th of January for delivery on or before the 22nd. Not delivered, cancelled, chased, excuses. Finally delivered 4th Feb. Then it took the best part of a month to get a refund I was due because of short delivery. Left the above honest review on Trust pilot, which BoilerJuice paid them to remove.

Oil delivery did not arrive by the due date. This is the 3rd time we have been let down by the same supplier. No phone call to say there would be a delay. Boiler juice was contacted and will look into it. They were aware of delivery problems and offered an apology. It is unacceptable. Will not use again after this delivery.
