“I did initially struggle with getting the tool to do what I wanted. However, I am glad I stuck with it as the picture quality is excellent. I have used another company in the past but there photo books quality could be hit and miss. All I can really say is Thank you for producing such great quality photo books that capture our memories perfectly”

“I have used Bob Books on and off for several years, it is good and the service is usually excellent. It was this time right up until they used Royal Mail for delivery! Sadly, unlike Amazon and Hermes, Royal Mail are no good during the pandemic and the delivery took weeks!”

“I would rate the finished product 'very good', but my reason for clicking 'good' is that I found the site irritating when trying to do some things, such as changing the running order of pages. But this was my first experience with Bob, and as someone who moons ago was a layout sub on a national paper, I was impatient to enact my ideas. My advice is to spend longer finding your way round - the Bob works very well.”

“A good way to make a 'memory ' of our holidays that can sit on the bookshelf at home to brighten up a dull winter day. My only problem is guessing how many to put on a page without running out of pages or photos before the end. Avoiding shuffling them along at all costs!”

“Great books, excellent quality of printing! Efficient service too! Please make a size in between the ‘landscape’ & ‘large landscape’ ... The large is too large but landscape too small! 33x26 Is the old Apple size which is perfect!!”

“Excellent book as always. Not a fan of the new delivery company, you can only reschedule a delivery once it has already been attempted and you have to sign up, which means they want your details. DPD allow you to change delivery much easier!”

“I was really impressed with the quality of the book that we received. The pages are thick and the images look lovely. The only thing that would prevent me from giving it the top rating is that when it arrived there was a dent in the front cover.”

“Once you get the hang of designing a Bob Book it is fairly straight forward. However I saved my most recent book by clicking on Save As assuming this would save the layout. it appears this is not the case. All that is saved are the images which I already have. Would it not be sensible to save the layout as well? I also think it would be helpful to have a simple list of instructions on how to create a book in the first place, rather than trying to figure it out by trial and error.”

“I enjoyed creating a record of my holiday and was pleased with the final product. It is a learning experience to get to grips with all the different effects and editing tools available. I think next time I will be able to improve my final result and I am keen to try again.”

“The Bob Books designer software is a great, once you have worked out how you want to use it. I prefer to create my own templates, with my own photo dimensions, as I do not like either heavily cropping images or drastically changing the photo proportions. I use the micro four thirds format, so I have created 4:3 ratio picture frame sizes. I have not used any of the Bob Books ready-to-use templates. The turn round on delivering the finished books was incredibly fast. Using discount codes, the price of my books were great value. I ordered the "Landscape Classic Hardback Book" format. The quality of the printing was good, similar to Blurb & better than Photobook. The paper quality was great. But I was a little disappointed by the sharpness of the printed photos. They were fine, but not super sharp as I see them on my MacBook screen. Maybe I should have tried the more expensive "photographic" paper options. I have used the "Gloss" paper before & this seems a bit sharper, but not as pleasing as the lustre of the "Classic" paper. Or maybe the Bob Books designer software "photo optimisation" effects the sharpness of my original JPEG files.... it would be good to know if this is the case or not. I would use Bob Books again, as for the price, they are a great product. Maybe I will try a more expensive paper next time.”

“Very helpful when speaking to advisers on the telephone and good quality of photo reproduction in photo books. There is some inconsistency when responding to emails regarding lack of response. I have had 3 where there was not response. However, in general, very good.”

“After attempting, and failing, with a few photo book websites, I was introduced to Bob Books and given a 10 minute 'lesson' and found it incredibly easy by comparison to the others. More 'user friendly' and intuitive. Lots of functions available to create a book that I love ..........”
