“4th time with this company and really enjoyed our holiday with them this time. As we always have or we would not return. Our yacht was very good everything worked well. “We returned to Lixouri beach club last week having previously been two years ago. The mix of the exclusive family run hotel and almost private beach, welcoming enthusiastic team and family, good water sports provision (including wingfoiling) and lots of likeminded families with teenagers for ours to hang out with makes for a perfect holiday. We absolutely loved it and our teenagers are already requesting that we return again next year! Thank you for making it such a perfect week.”

“Fabulous holiday! Hotel is a great family run hotel. The location is perfect, lovely beach and setting. The bay is perfect for sailing, windsurfing and foiling. The staff work hard to ensure that guests make the most of all the opportunities and have a great time. We’ve done 4 water sports holidays with bigger companies in the past as a family and we’re all agreed that Beyond Beach have a perfect formula, great location and gear, but small enough to ensure you get to know all the staff and guests. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Just back from a fantastic week at Lixouri Bay with Beyond beach with our family. Booking had been good with the UK office team and I appreciated the opportunity to talk through questions before booking. All the correspondence was swift and helpful. We had a great week in Kefalonia, the hotel was lovely - fantastic food, nice pool, hotel room that worked for a whole family and all run by a wonderful Greek family that made everyone feel so welcome and like friends. A huge thank you to Hugo and Ben for managing the beach activities so brilliantly despite different weather conditions and abilities, the whole team were great, they all helped us so much and we felt in very safe hands with all the new watersports activities we tried during the week. The beach team went above and beyond to give us opportunities to try out new skills. I would highly recommend this for an active break for families, we thought it was going to be good but it was even better than we had expected.”

“From the first call I got from Mark at the office and the continued support via email whilst we were doing the online 'IYT introduction to sailing course' to the welcome in Lixouri by Maddy and the fantastic sailing course she delivered, everything was brilliant! Thanks for an amazing week, we now can't wait to join a flotilla holiday as fully qualified skippers!”

“I spoke to Mark who handled my booking, all the queries I had and he guided me through the whole process. It’s very easy as you can book your transfers too. The email reminders were very useful. I flew from Manchester which isn’t a great journey from Yorkshire so it was really nice having the taxi waiting for me at the airport and also Maddy my instructor kept in touch as she was ready to meet me at the Beyondbeach office which is just situated in front of the moorings. There is a kitchen and bathroom with lots of hot water so if you don’t feel like using the shower on your boat you can use this. Once settled with a decent sleep I was ready for Friday and the start of my new adventure. The small town has good restaurants, supermarkets etc with a great square where families gather in the evenings. It has an old fashioned and honest charm where you are made to feel welcome and safe. Maddy and Shirley both very knowledgeable, kind, funny, highly skilled, very experienced yacht masters made the week very enjoyable. One to one is an excellent way of learning and Maddy was fantastic with huge pockets of patience ! Learning to sail couldn’t get any better than this. It is a wonderful way of refreshing old skills and learning to sail. I will be back!”

“We had an amazing trip to Lixouri Bay in Kefalonia with Beyond Beach. Booking was straight forward and tailored to our groups need, the operations team went above and beyond to cater for the needs of our group and create a bespoke programme. This provided an excellent opportunity for greater learning on the trip alongside participating in all watersports activities. The hotel family were very welcoming, the accommodation was well look after, with daily maid service, the most tasty food with plenty of variety to suit different dietary needs. The hotel staff welcomed you as their family and created a friendly atmosphere. The beachies were a top group! All providing fun and engaging sessions for all members of our group. We were kept safe, had well organised instructing and provided fun challenges and experiences for all in our party. Lastly, club manager Hugo provided an adaptable programme that was dynamic to the groups needs and weather changes, he was always happy to help and ensure we were relaxed and having a good trip. We cannot wait to return soon. Thanks again.”

“We had a fantastic holiday in Kefalonia last year - the staff were brilliant (beach and hotel). The only downside was that the hotel wasn’t right in the beach and that its main purpose was for sailing etc - but BeyondBeach now have a new location which is (with sun loungers for when you’re not on the water) and we’re looking forward to enjoying that this year which I’m sure will qualify for a 5 star review. The correspondence pre-holiday has also always been great and the team are quick to respond - you feel like you’re dealing with someone who really does care about the customer experience. There was a little mix up with one of extra packages we pre-booked but they were quick to sort it out and refund.”

“We're a family of 4, with two teenage daughters. We have been on holiday twice now the Beyond Beach team. Each time we had a week sailing with a second week at the Lixouri beach club. Enjoyed both holidays immensely and will be back for more.”

“We have three amazing holidays with Beyond Beach ( Trek Adventures) Two were learn to sail and then finally we did our first flotillia last year. All the staff involved have always been enthusiatic and have really made the holidays. Big thank you's go to Mark in the office, Shirley, Barry and Maddie with the learn to sail and Erika and Danny who were on the lead boat when we did our flotilla. Would totally reccommend Beyond Beach ( We will always be Trekkies) and we cant wait to do our next Flotilla in July.”

“I spent a 4 night fitness break with Issy staying at Lixouri Bay and can honestly say it ticked every box. The rooms were smart and spotlessly clean with gorgeous views. The food and hospitality were excellent and the fitness sessions with Issy were a fantastic start to every morning. Instructors were on hand if you wanted to use any equipment and they pretty much taught me the basics of sailing in just 4 days. Lovely family hotel run by helpful, courteous team. Could not have asked for more.”

“3rd time for me on flotilla holiday with this company, that must say it all. A brilliant way to sail the beautiful ionian islands without all the hassle. Boats were nicely turned out and back up crewe, Erica and Dan were excellent, we were there twice in 2023 and have booked for 2024. Would recommend.”

“We’ve had amazing holidays with BeyondBeach. We are a family of 5 (3 teenage children) and we have done the Learn to Sail, Flotilla and beach club and we can recommend all very highly! Everything is well organised, and the UK office is extremely helpful with booking and answering any questions. The learn to sail was a great way to get your qualifications while having a lovely holiday in such a beautiful place. We had a fantastic week on flotilla - the lead yacht crew were super friendly and guided us through everything. We stayed in some beautiful places and the daily suggested routes and anchorages gave the perfect mix of great sailing, independence and time relaxing on the boat and swimming in the stunning waters. Our second week each time has been in one of the beautiful villas (managed by lovely Kosta) at the Paliki beach club. Although we were in a villa, we ate most of our meals in the main hotel restaurant - the food is delicious and good value, and Babis and the rest of the hotel staff are like a lovely, friendly family. The water sports activities at the club were very good and we all enjoyed the various different options available. The beach team couldn't have been more lovely and helpful. The local town, Lixouri, is definitely worth a visit - the atmosphere in the evening is great and there is a large choice of restaurants. Thank you to all the BeyondBeach team for such unforgettable holidays!”

“I have done many blitz fitness Kefalonia holidays and they have all been outstanding. The Beach clubs are excellent - well equipped and well organised - a great place to learn to sail ( all watersports) or improve your skills. You feel encouraged to try everything and recieve friendly teaching The hotels are family run places - where the staff want you to have the best time and really care about you. “Over the last 10 years I have sailed with BeyondBeach (previoulsy Trek-Adventures) three times. They are indeed a very special company. James one of the original owners has always been so friendly and helpful. Professional guidance before booking and fantastic training and support on site. My first adventure was to take the family on a two week holiday. First week on land with dingy sailing ( two grandsons 8 and 10 who had never sailed before) the second week on a yacht learning to sail. A fantastic experience and this choice was guided by James. We returned a couple of years later and booked a two week land based holiday. The boys had great fun and I found people to sail with and when the winds picked up you would find me out on the Hobby Cat on the trapeze, or flying a spinnaker on one of the other yachts. I am still in contact with some of the friends I had made. The third time I took a yacht on one of the flotilla holidays. A bit of a jump into the unknown as the young man I took with me in his 30's had never sailed before. I had my licence but it was rather daunting. James said we will give him tuition for the first couple of days until you feel confident. So that was one of my really dream holidays, responsible for my own yacht but with the back up of professional, knowledgeable and very friendly staff. Plus all of the good things I love about Greece. The friendly people, the lovely weather, and the really good food. If you have not tried this you really must give it a go. So lovely to see this amazing company progress.”

“Stayed at Lixouri Bay Club for one week of beach, dingy sailing and other activities. Then a week doing Day Skipper on a yacht based at Lixouri marina. BB staff and guides were brilliant. The hotel, run by a local Greek family, was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.”

“What a friendly, relaxed, professional, skilled and fun bunch the Beyond Beach team are. A truly beautiful setting to learn to sail in and the hotel staff just felt like family by the end of the holiday. I am a nervous middle-aged novice who was put at ease by Jake's knowledgeable and patient tuition and even plucked up the courage at the end of my course to enter the weekly regatta . My husband, a more experienced sailor just signed out one of the many boats tacked up and ready to go and blasted around the bay. Fun Fun Fun!”
