On the occasions where I've needed customer services they've been very helpful and understanding. I've only recently started betting, so it's reassuring to know that the gambling industry takes its customer service as seriously as any other business.

Very good, useable website unlike other bookmakers. Promotions are well advertised. Range of markets and sports is outstanding and gives you plenty of options. I really like the Cash Out and Price Rush system, they really stand out from the rest.

Generally at the cutting edge of on-line betting - innovative, user friendly and benchmark setting on, for example cash-out and lay betting.

Betfair has been excellent, apart from the recent live scores update not being accurate.

Beware of the timings shown when placing bets. I just saw a great price for a draw on a football match that was nil-nil after 92 minutes and placed my bet only for the timing then to revert to 54 minutes expired, then back to 92, then was suspended and then back to 54 minutes. I asked for a refund, here is Betfairs reply which you may think is fair. Just be careful is my advice! Selena: Hello welcome to Betfair you are chatting with Selena. How can I help? Me: Hi, I spotted that the Atromitos 0-0 AIK match was 0-0 after 92 minutes so I bet on the draw as it showed as 1.78. After placing the bet the elapsed time then changed to 56 minutes, then 92 again, then 54. Me: Its not just you, its happening elsewhere so some problem with timings. Can I have the bet refunded please Selena: I'm terribly sorry to hear that Richard but it when it comes to the Exchange especially, we cannot cancel/ refund bets, only re-settle since you're betting directly against other customers and not Betfair. We strongly recommend that our customers check alternate feeds before placing their bets however, as we receive these from third parties and there is a large warning about it on our site: Selena: Warning: Although the current score, time elapsed, video and other data provided on this site is sourced from "live" feeds provided by third parties, you should be aware that this data may be subject to a time delay and/or be inaccurate. Please also be aware that other Betfair customers may have access to data that is faster and/or more accurate than the data shown on the Betfair site. If you rely on this data to place bets, you do so entirely at your own risk. Betfair provides this data AS IS with no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of such data and accepts no responsibility for any loss (direct or indirect) suffered by you as a result of your reliance on it. Me: its not a live feed issue. You are broadcasting info saying 92 minutes elapsed when its only 54 minutes elapsed. Its not like a few seconds Me: this is misinformation which lead me to place a bet. Selena: I see where you're coming from but it's information coming from a third party, which is why we recommend our customers check other sources before placing their bets Me: OK, I shall try and cash out and leave reviews warning people about the information to prevent it happening again. Only a couple of quid as I am a small better but could cost someone a lot of money. Selena: That's of course your prerogative and I'm sorry there's nothing I can do for you in this case.

I feel like I have just been cheated!!!! I got an £5 bonus to play bingo, from that I won £52, I continued to play and was down to £45, then the amount vanished from my account.... Emailed to query this and was told to bet a further £9.03 to unlock the "bonus". That turned out was incorrect info. Winnings from a bonus are in their words a "bonus" and therefore I needed to bet a minimum of £20 to unlock any bonus's. At no stage did I get an email saying or contact to say you need to have bet a minimum amount or that the winnings from a bonus bet would be lost. I suggest DO NOT use Betfair, sign up with Coral or another provider.

betfair isnt very fair at all. When you win each race and it is a small odds win they let you cash out no problem. I won 26/1 and 8/1 two races in a row and guess what, cash out wasnt an option at all as they would of paid a lot off money... Also casino payout percentage is absolutely rubbish...i have cancelled my account and excluded myself...

I joined betfair about a month ago and spent around £50 and just went on and it's saying my account has been suspended so I got hold of them on chat to ask why and they are saying I need to send them a bank statement and pasport number and proof of address because after a month u have to send all of these documents to keep your account active as its company policy what do u all think about that plz pass this on to all review sites as I think everyone should know about this
