“I was delighted with the service provided by Best at Hire. Placing the order was very easy and the staff member was friendly, very efficient, polite and very helpful. I hired a stump grinder and this machine was excellent, it was in top condition and reliable. The stump grinder was delivered to my property when they said it would be delivered. Likewise, the stump grinder was collected at the arranged time. Overall, a great service and I would definitely use Best at Hire again. I would definitely recommend them.”

“Machine was not setup from service and did not work. Asked for it to be sorted but no engineers. 6 people on site so had to pay for it to be sorted by local guy. Still waiting for them to "review" the situation. Now counting in months.”

“Recently hired a lawn aerator. Quite the machine I must say and very easy to use. Service by Best at Hire was flawless. Driver that dropped off was courteous and friendly and gave a demo on using the machine. Collection driver was also friendly. The end to end service was fab and will be hiring again in April.”

“Needed a small wacker for finishing a garden project which was cover area with stone flatten it then lay coloured gravel on top. Item was virtually brand new and simple and light to use. Ordered it on line and pick up and drop off were made easy by helpful staff. Definitely recommend them”

“Equipment was good - but came late, and was picked up several days late after the rental. Was big, heavy equipment, so having it around for longer than required made my project more difficult. Buyer beware - customer pickup and drop off date requests seem to be seen as “advisory” at best.”

“The branch did not have enough sanding paper for the machine which meant me trawling around and eventually buying it from HSS. This meant it was too late to contact their office by the time I tried to use the machine and found it tripped the circuit breakers when fired up. Eventually I tracked the fault to the plug that runs from the floor sander switch to the main machine. The bayonet fitting had been put together the wrong way which was obvious as the cap was not sat properly on the plug. When I dropped the machine off I got a shrug of the shoulder and when I emailed the head office I was ignored. Don't use them”

“I hired a petrol cultivator for one week and paid a deposit in case of damage to the machine. The hole process was done on-line including payment for delivery and collection of the equipment. The equipment was returned in perfect working order and cleaner than when it was delivered. I would have thought my deposit will returned automatically to me. But that has not happened .”

Dear Tony, Thank you for your review. We have looked into this and we have not taken a deposit for the order. I think you are referring to the damage waiver insurance which you took out, which I'm afraid is not refundable.
