“Great little boots. I have to keep on top of the reproofing to keep them looking smart as they’re made of suede, but that’s no biggie. Comfy warm and flexible, and supportive too since they have laces. Posted out to me quickly.”

“I bought two pairs of Reiker boots from Begg Shoes. Both were delivered together by Royal Mail, in top condition and with no issues. I would definitely buy again next time I'm looking for some new shoes or boots!”

“Ordered these trainers through our local shop. They took a little longer to arrive than anticipated but there was no rush. The service is much appreciated, the staff are always friendly and helpful, as are the after-sales communications. Very happy customer. Update: Order No.2 hasn't gone so well. Another pair of Vans, ordered to match an outfit for the High School's fancy Xmas party, still hadn't turned up in time 11 days after ordering. The postal strikes are an issue, I know, but I have ordered other items online since then and they've arrived. The shop staff were real nice though, they knew when/what I needed them for and were poised to call as soon as they turned up. (End result: the Additional Needs child didn't go to the party 😣 and I've deducted a star)”

“Great website and customer service from Begg Shoes but sadly the shoes I bought turned out to be a mistake. The Rieker walking boots looked robust but within a few minutes of wearing them in wet weather, or on damp grass, the water has seeped through the seams to the fleece lining, and my feet are wet inside the boots. Despite the manufacturer's claims they are not designed to raise your foot "above water level". They aren't designed for even damp British weather.”

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave a company review, and I am sorry to hear that the Rieker ankle boots purchased did not perform as expected. Rieker shoes and boots are often made with stitch construction sole units which give them flexibility and comfort. This common style of sole unit construction means that water ingress can occasionally happen through the stitch holes along the soles. Additionally, we find as footwear experts that wet grass can be worse than puddles for water ingress on shoes and boots that are not specifically waterproof. It appears that our description of this style does not mention being waterproof. That being said, I am pleased to hear that you found our customer service and website excellent, despite your experience with these Rieker boots. “I purchased two pairs of shoes based on the excellent help of your customer team. I sought advice on the particular type of shoe I required. 60 year old lady, with problem right foot due to bad gait because of MS. A pure delight to hand it over to the professionals and from all suggestions given I purchased two pairs of footwear and delighted with the comfort of them both. Thanks so much.”

“Service was excellent- staff were very friendly and helpful on the phone. I would certainly consider looking for shoes from this shop. Unfortunately the shoes didn't suit me so I returned them. Returns were no hassle.”
