Wrong batteries initially sent; e-mailed and the correct batteries sent overnight and told to keep the incorrect batteries. Shame someone got it wrong first time but it happens in even the very best of companies and reaction to my e-mail very quick and efficient, thanks.

Dear Dale, The date printed on these batteries is the production date. Coin cells have a shelf life of around 10 years. It's not possible we had stock 10 years ago as the design was completely different and the pack size did not exist. GP recyko batteries seem good so far. Unfortunately Battery station packaged the deliver with loads of unnecessary unrecycleable plastic. There's no need for it.

Dear Customer, We have checked your order history and are unable to find an order for GP ReCyko batteries. We are always looking at ways to reduce any impact on the environment. We do reuse over 95% of the packaging materials that we receive from deliveries, and any materials that can't be reused are disposed of through official recycling channels. You sent the incorrect batteries. I have returned them a week ago but you say they have not been received yet. I hope you will get them next week and be able to supply the correct batteries. I included a photo of the correct batteries with my return.

Dear Trevor, Allow me to correct your review which is inaccurate. You ordered 2 gumstick walkman batteries which is exactly what we sent you. We verified this using the video camera on our packing station, which clearly shows the batteries, and the label. The first we heard of these 'incorrect' batteries, is when you said you had sent them back to us and were demanding a refund. We have informed you that we have not received the batteries and asked you if you have any tracking information that you do not. If we do receive them, we will refund you. To summarise, you ordered the wrong batteries, and sought to return them without contacting us. This would normally be fine except you did not get any sort of tracking information and are now frustrated you have not been refunded as a result that the batteries may now be lost. The product arrived promptly and were of good quality. But considering they were 2 coin shaped batteries the cost of post and packing was excessive. So yes good quality but at huge cost

Im very sorry to have to write a negative review but bought 2 batches of AA and AAA batreries for my led christmas lights. I had to change batteries after just 4 hours and same with my led strip lights too. Last year i bought cheap batteries that performed better I bought the news ones as they were advertised as good quality, I've found them to be anything but good. Sorry.

Only not getting 5stars as a result of delivery problems. I paid extra to get them early but Royal Mail let us both down. Came a day late but they did not post or leave them ( parcel would have fitted through the letter box) and I had to travel the next day a mile plus to collect them. This meant queuing in the post office for about 30mins.

Hi Roger, Yes it has been a challenging time for couriers and Royal Mail. There have been lots of delays and strange happenings. We have seen a lot of stuff left at Post Offices recently to avoid re-delivery attempts. I have been told this is a temporary arrangement and was done to maximise the amount of deliveries made. I was horrified to receive my new charger and set of D batteries in an oversized box packed out with polystyrene pellets and needlessly mummified with packing tape. Such a complete lack of regard for the environment means I shall be placing no more future orders.

Hi Jonathan, We do care about the environment and we recycle over 95% of the materials we receive with goods in. All boxes are reused. Any small amount of cardboard and plastic we dispose of is done so with a local recycling company and we retain the required legal documentation to show we are compliant. We can't seem to win, can we! If we under pack it, it gets damaged easily and we get complaints. If we overpack it, we get reviews like this one. We packed the items, taking into account that at this time of year especially, packages can be easily damaged and very often are on overloaded courier networks. Boxes get jostled around and packaging on batteries can be undone. A damaged set of batteries, and a broken charger, made of plastic - should also be avoided for environmental reasons. The batteries I bought are replacements for the same brand I’ve been using for many years and are very reliable. Battery Station too was very prompt and efficient. Unfortunately they decided to use Hermes as the delivery company. Over many years I’ve almost always found their service to be unreliable just like this time, when they failed to deliver my batteries according to the time promised. Like Groundhog Day. And their couriers like to dump deliveries on the doorstep without ringing the bell or knocking to notify you of the delivery.

Hi Michael, We do offer various shipping methods, with two faster methods available on Parcelforce, which of course cost extra. You paid £2.75 for shipping for 5 items including lithium batteries. Many couriers including Royal Mail do not carry lithium batteries. We do not have endless options with couriers. The option to pay for Parcelforce was available to you. Many customers, however, do not wish to pay extra. We generally have good service with Hermes but at this time of year, they are overwhelmed with volumes in certain places and this causes some delays. Your order was still delivered within 5 working days, which was the service level advertised. I think they've done remarkably well this season. Although the order was easily placed and it arrived on time, the packaging on one of the items was damaged and as a result the batteries had fallen out the box - made me think if they were tampered with. I did raise this immediately with customer support, but received a short blunt response saying it often happens with packaging and delivery.

Hi Ushma, There is no reason whatsoever the batteries would be tampered with. We do not sell any used products at all. Unfortunately, packages can be slightly damaged during transit on occasion and this does not mean that the batteries are in any way damaged or tampered with.
