“I've not ordered direct from Basco for a while - I found a local stockist with some of the things I need but, when they were out of what I wanted, it was back to Basco for a top-up. As always, there were plenty of tempting options, all easy to find and select. Order made, I sat back & waited. I'd paid (a very reasonable amount) for quick delivery and it arrived promptly. Everything was really well packaged in sturdy containers, including a frozen item which had loads of cold packs around it. I've just sent the outer box to my daughter with her birthday presents in - they were a perfect fit! Very happy all round. As I expected to be, but it's always reassuring to know that some things in life will just work, and work well.”

“The products are very good as far as I can tell (have only tried gildas so far) but I was completely shocked by how this was packaged and won't be ordering again. There were 6 layers of single use freezer packs. I'd love to buy from you again if you use a supermarket delivery model but I dont think delivering in this way makes any sense from an environmental PoV.”

Thank you for your review - We always strive to ensure that orders are delivered in the best condition especially when dispatching fresh and frozen products. All of our packing materials can be recycled and our Ice packs re-used. I will of course pass on your feedback to our warehouse manager. “i bought a galacian sirloin of beef joint from you at a reduced price. i expected someting special but it was not as good as a joint from my local butcher with the cost being the same. nothing wrong with the taste but it was mostly tough to eat”

“I use Basic to get some products I can't find outside Spain or which prices are too high. I would definitely recommend to buy their black pudding and the 500gr smoked paprika, it last very long although we use it almost every day and it's very good. I wish they sold Spanish sunflower seeds by Facundo Supremas and things like Cola Cao. I tried the hot chocolate powder but we were not so keen.”
