“Recently returned from a trip to Greenland, organised by Daina at Baltic travel. Excellent service, communication and friendly help throughout. Well planned trip but even with a flight cancellation Baltic made it very easy and resolved it quickly. Highly recommend them and I will be back for another adventure ***** Jenny”

“I am just back from a wonderful trip round the Fjords. Daina at Baltic organised everything perfectly; great hotels, good route. I chose to hire an EV for the ride and it too was great. Loads of places to recharge and a great easy drive. I would highly recommend this tour.”

“Baltic Travel Company created this awesome "Finland in a Nutshell" itinerary for me which included booking hotels, train tickets, tour guides, and air flight tickets. It was a great trip! The trains were wonderful and easy to use. All the cities/towns that I visited were great. I really enjoyed the hotels that I stayed at (especially those awesome breakfasts!) And the Finnish people that I met, especially the tour guides, were delightful, informative, and generous with their time in answering my questions. I so appreciate their work and effort in making my travels through Finland--”

“The Baltic Highlight Tour ticked all the boxes. Nice hotels well organised good programme. Best of all was our Latvian guide Zane. She gave so much more than just the sights. A real insight into traditions and culture. As an independent traveller I usually prefer to organise my own trips but then you either need more time or see less. The highlights format suited me perfectly with plenty of free afternoons and freedom to choose my own restaurants. Baltic Travel was the only company I looked at that could offer a trip on the dates I wanted and also included flights. I found the mixture of nationalities we had Americans and Australians worked better for me than just one group all from the UK. Baltic Travel uses Balticvision a company based in Riga and they use various guides, Zane Atvara was from Latriga, possibly her own company. I really enjoyed the trip and visiting the Baltics now in the present political situation seemed the right thing to do. Summed up on the big skyscraper sign in Vilnius: PUTIN THE HAGUE IS WAITING FOR YOU. The food everywhere was fantastic and I chose many TripAdvisor recommended restaurants or somewhere our guide recommended. The 3 hotels were all within walking distance from the old town in each city. Souvenirs were great and I indulged in amber as well as a sweater. Important to shop around to get the best price and cash does give you an even better price if you haggle. Important too to book restaurants ahead of time as the popular ones fill up quickly with bookings.”

“We’ve just returned from the 9 day Baltic Metropoles tour and we had a great time. This was our first experience of group travel and we didn’t quite know what to expect, but everything went fine; nice travelling companions, a perfect itinerary and all the details were covered, so all we had to do was enjoy it. Our return flight was disrupted by industrial action but, even on a Sunday, we were contacted by Baltic Travel with our updated flight and taxi details; very reassuring when our fellow travellers who had booked via different operators had no updates at all. This was our third travel experience with Baltic Travel and we wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.”

“My husband and I have just returned from a six night stay in Norway visiting Oslo, Flam and Bergen. We had the most fantastic time - one of the best holidays we've ever been on! Daina at Baltic Travel was great at putting together an itinerary based on a rough idea of what we wanted to do. She even suggested some extra activities for Flam and I'm so glad she did as we had such fun doing the zipline and bike ride through the flam valley! Everything went very smoothly with all the bookings for hotels, boats and trains. The itinerary had all the information we needed, including tickets for transport and activities and we had no issues with these at all. The hotels chosen by Daina were all of a good standard and in very convenient locations. Our hotel in Bergen was in the old town and had a view right across the harbour. It couldn't have been more central! Norway is a beautiful country which we would highly recommend for a holiday. We would also recommend Baltic Travel and will be using them again in future as we would like to visit Norway again and have plans to visit Finland too at some stage. It's nice that the agents at Baltic Travel have personal knowledge of the countries and are able to make recommendations based on personal experience. It's rare to find this nowadays, but it does make a difference when it comes to booking a unique and memorable holiday.”

“We went on thr Baltic Circle fly drive tour. Hotels were excellecnt and the itinerary was first class which gave us a real feel or the three Baltic states, their history and environment. I would have given this review 5 stars if we had a better experience with the car hire company (Hertz). They charged us an extra €70 because we were crossing borders between Latvis, Estonia and Lithuania, which was not part fo the agreement we received before we left (in fact there is no effective border between the 3 states). The car also had no sat nav or USB so we had to use Google Maps which were not always accurate and for longer runs the phone battery died. We also had to walk 20 minutes each way between the terminal at Riga airport and the car hire pick up/drop off site. We wasted significant time trying to find hotels which limited our time in soem of the towns. A shame because we througtly enjoyed ourselves exploring the towns and other sites such as the Curinian Spit and the Gauja National Park. The food was good (coffee shops even served flat whites!). People everywhere were very friendly and helpful and I would thoroughly recommend this tour, probviding your hire car has a sat nav.”

Car Hire - we do make it clear on our documentation if there are any local charges for crossing international borders or security deposits. However we will look at ways to make this clearer to our clients in future. Sat Nav -unfortunately these devices are not always standard and we cannot pre-pay for them when booking a vehicle. Again, we will find a way to make this clearer for the future. We look forward to helping you with a future adventure.

“This was our third trip with Baltic Travel. We have visited Norway doing an extended panoramic fly drive, Copenhagen and Stockholm twin centre city break and lately a city break to Finland. All these experiences have been something a bit different but with all these holidays everything is well organised and arranged without a fault. The holidays are always accompanied with detailed information and extra pointers of places to visit or things you need to see. Quality hotels to choose from and our last trip we had a driver collect/drop off to and from airport/hotel. We love dealing with Laura, although all the staff are knowledgeable, extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I would highly recommend this company for peace of mind whilst navigating some wonderful destinations.”

“Just back from a short swan round Finland. All went well and was organised smoothly. Helsinki, particularly, was nice and the food was good if you like salmon, reindeer and pizza. Happy to recommend BTC and would use them again.”

“We had a wonderful time seeing the sights of Tallin Airport transfer brill with a history lesson included A lovely hotel just at the edge of the old town perfect location. Could just have done with a little extra time between connecting flights … had a bit of a dash as the first flight was slightly delayed and both airports looked worth a browse but didn’t have any time”

“The holiday was absolutely fantastic.I really enjoyed every minute of it.Everything went according to plan and right on time.The choice of hotels and their location was excellent,they were comfortable with lovely breakfasts each day.Our tour guide,Elina,was superb,she had great knowledge and could deliver all information in an interesting,understandable and fun way.I loved visiting all three cities,the history,cultures and food were so interesting.There were so many highlights for me it is impossible to pick out one.I did enjoy seeing and learning about the Hill of Crosses and the Rundale Palace,both were amazing.I also enjoyed having a drink in the sky bars in the evening at the Hotels.This was an excellent all round trip,so thank you so much for arranging it for me.”

“Our short break in Malangen was fabulous. The information and advice given by Mark and Inga at Baltic travel beforehand was invaluable. The scenery was stunning, and our cabin views spectacular. We were luckty to have enough snow to do the snow shoeing and cross-country skiiing which were great fun. The Northern Lights watch walk in the dark was magical, augmented by a beautiful display of the aurora. All the guides were extremely friendly, helpful and informative, as were the hotel staff. A memorable trip all round.”
