“Prices quoted much better than any other supplier. Laver kept me informed about supplier delay with wood I ordered and delivered it on the earliest day possible based on supplier projected availability”

“Only downside was that the driver was not given the instruction to ring one hour before delivery,that put me on the back foot a bit as I wasn't in when the delivery arrived.Having said that the driver was helpful & assisted with getting the timber round the back of the house & not leaving it at the end of the drive.”

“Order was refunded as goods required were discontinued , it was not the fault of Laver however as they purchase the items from a supplier who had not informed them the goods had been continued which caused delay and inconvenience to both parties. Briony and Heather at Lavers were most helpful and obliging.”

“Took a long time for the item to arrive in stock (about 2 weeks) despite me ordering on the basis that it would arrive within a few days. Good job I wasn't in a rush ! Nevertheless very helpful staff when collecting from Oldbury, and good quality product at a very competitive price”

“Communication was excellent. Delivery was on time. Driver offloading the timber was flexible and helpful. Slightly disappointed by the condition of the timber (cracks, etc) - but only slightly! Overall good.”

“The door I ordered arrived early on the appointed day, and after unpacking and inspecting was found to be in good order. The instructions for fixing and treating the bare wood were comprehensive and would be found very useful to a novice.”

“Wood arrived on time. The driver was very helpful and rang ahead of time. Unfortunately one of the planks was split a considerable section of it's length making it unusable.”

“I ordered timber online. The staff at Mosborough were tremendously helpful and efficient. However, I felt that the online ordering system was a bit cumbersome. The stock I'd ordered was available only at another branch. Had I known, I could have chosen the same timber, in different lengths, which was in stock at Mosborough and thus have avoided the short delay. It would be useful if the website gave stock levels for each branch. Overall, the timber was good quality and competitively priced and the staff were great.”

“Excellent friendly service and will to cut 4.8m lengths of timber to 2.4m for transportation. Disappointed to find the loyalty card does not apply to online orders!”

“Ordered some timber on Thursday 20/8/15 arrived Thursday 27/8/15, for me on this occasion one week delivery was OK. The costs were good as was the delivery, driver very helpful. I allowed for some wastage of timber so was not supprised that 2 of the 14 boards were substandard. If the price had been cheaper and the delivery quicker I would have given 5 stars.”

“I couldn't fault the helpfulness of the guy on the counter when I called at the Oldbury Depot to collect my order. His general manner and helpfulness is the only reason I've given a 'Good' rating. The condition of the items I had ordered really left a lot to be desired. My order was for 24 x Decking Spindles and what I did find extremely disappointing was the condition the spindles were in. The whole stack from which my order was fulfilled was absolutely wet through. If I had not had so much difficulty finding a Company who stocked the Cheshire Mouldings Stop Chamfered Spindles which I particularly wanted then I certainly would have refused to accept what was being offered to me. They were in a terrible condition and I was extremely surprised a company such as Laver were selling items in this state. I had also travelled 38 miles (76 mile round trip) to collect them so I had to also take that into account when deciding whether to accept them or not. I took them home and had to put them out in the sun each day to dry them out before being able to use them and before they were dry enough to apply the decking oil on them. So all in all regret this purchase was not a marvellous experience. Colin Brain”

“Delivery could be better as the timber went to the wrong address but the man was good man when he got there but he didn't do much in terms of off loading.”

“Lead time was a bit longer than I would have hoped, but driver was exceptionally friendly/helpful and I was pleased with the quality of the timber.”
