“They were very friendly and helpful. Delivery was on time, the pieces were cut as instructed and the price was good. The only disappointment was the quality of the cuts. The wood was decorative laminated pine board but either they used a ripsaw or the blade was blunt as much of the end grain was ripped and a 3" splinter was torn out of 1 piece. Nothing that can't be hidden or repaired but still extra work.”

“Laver - absolutely fine. Unfortunately I used Laver to purchase some Cheshire Mouldings handrails that came direct from CM already packaged and I collected them from Laver at Rainham. Had approximately 30% scrap so it's a good job I ordered spare lengths and only needed to get one 1200mm length out of each 1800mm length supplied. Only just made it without having to buy some more. Spindles were OK but the handrail - total rubbish.”

“great service - expensive shipping - im sure that with such good service Lavers would do a fine mail order business especially for such unusual items that i ordered. If i had the luxury of being able to wait I would have ordered elsewhere as the delivery cost was prohibitive, and as such i would have to think twice about return custom for the type of purchase.”

“Fantastic customer service . genuinely helpful staff at the depot. Slightly intimidating for diy customers but asked them to slow down and got exactly what I wanted. Much cheaper than wickes and b&q.”

“Good prices. Good web page. Easy ordering......or so I thought. Much confusion over delivery. One of the reasons I placed my order was that I believed I could get delivery to my area (SY20) as described. Having taken the order I was then contacted to be told that they should not have taken my order as they only deliver to my area once a month! Anyway, long story short....they did arrange a sooner delivery, though still took nearly 2 weeks. Nice chap turned up to deliver and all was well in the end. I still gave 4 stars, but you need to polish up your delivery information.”

I would like to apologise for the issues regarding delivery, this is due to the distance between you and our nearest depot (Oldbury). We do deliver to your area, although at present this service is not as regular as we would hope. We are continuingly trying to improve our service and we thank you once again for feedback.

Hi Chris, We are delighted to hear that you like our products and our prices. We apologise for the delay you suffered in receiving your order, this was due to the product you ordered being "out of stock" at your local depot. To fulfil your order stock was transferred from another depot. This process takes on average an additional 3 working days but may on occasions take longer, this information appears within the FAQ's section of our website. We hope you can appreciate that it is impossible to have every product in stock at every depot and that transfers from depots or suppliers is inevitable from time to time. Our Sales Team should have contacted you regarding the delay in the order, although on this occasion it appears that they have failed to do so. We are reviewing our order procedures to ensure this oversight does not happen in the future. Thank you for your 4 STAR review, we look forward to doing business with you again in future.

“Very good value compared to other quotes I had received online. Found collecting the order at the depot slightly confusing, but I think it wasn't helped by the fact that I turned up at closing time, I think I must have got the wrong time on the phone. Was impressed that my order was still processed and cut to size and brought to my car, even though the guys were clearly about to go home though.”

“They sent the wrong size, but Craig was helpful and sorted it out. I even got a refund. Only reason for 4 star is that I had to chase for the refund with a couple of emails”

“I have given 4 stars for the order process and the condition of the goods when delivered. The online process was very good and easy to use. I was impressed when I received a call 10 minutes after making my online order to ask about delivery and when it was convenient. I opted for the next day and was told that someone would ring me in the morning to give me a delivery time. Sadly no one rang and I had to ring myself at lunchtime. I was told that the driver was "just about to ring me" I gave them my mobile number as I had to go out. No one rang either my home number or my mobile number, I was out for just under an hour and when I got back the timber sheets were leaning against my garage door. Luckily the weather was fine. I give 1 star for the after sales/delivery process and might now think twice about using Laver again.”

“I was really please after making my online order when I was contacted almost 10 minutes after completing the payment to arrange delivery so that I wouldn't be kept waiting over the Christmas Holidays. I was told that some would call me back the following morning to let me know what time the delivery would be. Well, no one called and just after lunch I rang Lavers. The person on the phone said "The driver is just going to ring you". I put the phone down and waited but no phone call came. I had to go out, Lavers had my mobile number to contact me. I was out for over an hour and on arriving home I found my goods on the drive propped up against my garage door. They had partially wrapped the boards in plastic but had there been heavy rain it would have been ruined. The initial contact was encouraging, the goods were in good order and the ordering service was faultless. I'll use Lavers again but will be wary of the delivery service.”

Thank you for your review. We look forward to dealing with you again in future. Our delivery drivers do their very best to deliver at the specified time, but this is not always possible. They also do their best to leave the items in a dry and secure place but, again, this is not always possible.

“Unfortunately, a sheet of ply was missed from the order but as both driver and the chap I spoke to on the phone were so helpful you can forgive this error I wasn't starting the project to the weekend so it was fine Do find the £20 delivery a little steep though”
