Not very transparent when ordering about potential timescales. Staff not particularly helpful or friendly. Once all was finally sorted, they sent the wrong number plates id paid for.

I asked for discrete packaging as was a gift the plates came exactly in the shape of plates making it obvious what they were ruined present

I purchased a private registration plate from you at the beginning of February. On 10th February, I received an email confirming that I could assign the new registration to my vehicle. However, on 21st April, I received a letter from the DVLA stating that my bike is not insured. After looking into this, I discovered that my vehicle details had not been updated to the new registration as expected. This means that for the past couple of months I have unknowingly been riding with incorrect number plates, with no valid tax linked to those plates, while my insurance was registered under the new number instead of the original one. I should have remained on the old registration until the change was fully completed. I have now been advised that I need to wait at least 48 hours before this can be resolved, which leaves me unable to legally ride my bike—even to get it home. This situation is extremely frustrating and inconvenient, and I would like an explanation as to how this error occurred, as well as urgent assistance in resolving it.

I bought a reg and they just put me as nominee to use that reg while they still own the reg. i rang them and they told its our policy and we can't transfer it on your name and address which is not right. You have to transfer the full rights to the person who bought it. You have your own selfmade rules. I am not satisfied with this company.

Coming to a month now and still have not heard anything back regarding the registration number purchased or when I can use it on my vehicle. They don’t like to respond to emails when I’m chasing up. Be careful with the mess around from this business.

Registration plate purchase was cancelled meaning Christmas spoilt for my son. Decided to purchase a different plate from Absolute Reg at lower value (-£60). No reimburse made and no contact since requesting refund!! Very poor...not recommended!

Was told when I ordered that it would be 5 working days. Then I was told 7 working days and niw it's 10 working days before I get my new registration documents through.

I ordered a private registration from Absolute Reg on 7th February as a birthday gift for my wife. I specifically paid an additional £8 for first-class delivery to ensure it arrived before her birthday. Despite paying for first-class postage, the plates were sent using second-class delivery and only arrived on 15th February four days after her birthday. The entire reason for paying extra was to guarantee timely delivery, and this was not honoured. Although I received a refund for the postage, that does not fix the disappointment or the ruined surprise. A refund does not replace reliability. The transfer process was also unnecessarily complicated. The wording on the online form simply referred to “registered keeper,” which is unclear. This led to a DVLA rejection because the system does not clearly specify that it must exactly match the vehicle’s V5C registered keeper details. Instead of acknowledging the ambiguity, I was asked to pay additional fees to resubmit the transfer. Overall my experience included: • Paying for first-class delivery but receiving second-class • Late arrival after an important occasion • Unclear transfer instructions • Additional charges after a rejected DVLA submission For a company dealing with personalised registrations — something people often buy for special occasions — I expected professionalism and accuracy. Unfortunately, this experience felt careless and poorly managed from start to finish. I would strongly advise future customers to double-check every detail and not rely on promised delivery upgrades.

Tbh, I was very unhappy with the customer service. I ran a few quotes on regs in my browser tabs, mistakenly ordered R888 Instead of R88. I got charged to make changes even though it was not ordered with DVLA ended up paying twice the actual cost, later spoke to a friend in the org saying that I was charged because that I had an accent, they would’ve changed it normally as it was admin who processes or orders the plates. Very unhappy experience.
