All sorted so quickly ordered it on Monday got email to confirm DVLA had completed its part by Thursday just waiting for plates which have been dispatched.

Got the number plate really quick, and three years later I finally changed plates due to not having a car. Absolute reg still had me on their system and fulfilled what I’d paid for. 10/10 service and I highly recommend.

I ordered a private registration from Absolute Reg on 7th February as a birthday gift for my wife. I specifically paid an additional £8 for first-class delivery to ensure it arrived before her birthday. Despite paying for first-class postage, the plates were sent using second-class delivery and only arrived on 15th February four days after her birthday. The entire reason for paying extra was to guarantee timely delivery, and this was not honoured. Although I received a refund for the postage, that does not fix the disappointment or the ruined surprise. A refund does not replace reliability. The transfer process was also unnecessarily complicated. The wording on the online form simply referred to “registered keeper,” which is unclear. This led to a DVLA rejection because the system does not clearly specify that it must exactly match the vehicle’s V5C registered keeper details. Instead of acknowledging the ambiguity, I was asked to pay additional fees to resubmit the transfer. Overall my experience included: • Paying for first-class delivery but receiving second-class • Late arrival after an important occasion • Unclear transfer instructions • Additional charges after a rejected DVLA submission For a company dealing with personalised registrations — something people often buy for special occasions — I expected professionalism and accuracy. Unfortunately, this experience felt careless and poorly managed from start to finish. I would strongly advise future customers to double-check every detail and not rely on promised delivery upgrades.

I bought a numberplate on 11th December. I got an email confirmation for the order. I had no further contact from Absolute Reg until I called them just before Christmas to ask on the progress of my plate. I was assured all was in order and I should hear back. I got an email on 8th Jan asking if I had a V5C for the number to be transferred to and I said no and that I wanted it to be put on retention. I was advised this can take a further 2 weeks, which I was ok with. I emailed again after the 2 weeks as again I hadn't heard anything back. I got an email back the next day to say they have just chased for an update and once they got a response they would let me know. Again - no response back with an update. I emailed again on 27th Jan requesting that a manager call me as we were now 7 weeks down the line with no progress update. I got a call from a man who was very polite saying he had chased this for me and that it shouldn't be much longer. I got an email on 2nd Feb to say that my reg documents had been dispatched, which I received 3 days later. All in all, I did eventually get my documents but zero contact from the company without having to continually chase them. If I was to buy a plate again and had another company as an option to buy it off, I would do so.

For the price I've paid to get my plates and I have to send off the certificate to the DVLA to put them on my car as I was told you can't do it for me even though I was paying extra again, so after waiting i have to wait again which should be a simple service that you offer
