“The whole process was very well managed and the pick up was outstanding - awkward issues resolved by experienced operator calmly and with skill. Only disappointment is the lack of recycling of anything , where nearly everything was working, and the very low price paid ( £67). But thanks, four stars overall.”

When you scrap your car with us, recycling is a key part of what we do. We are very aware of the importance of responsible vehicle recycling and work to ensure that as much of the vehicle as possible is recovered and put to good use. The steel from your scrapped car can be recycled to produce new steel products. Other valuable materials, including copper, aluminium, stainless steel, zinc and lead, can also be recovered and recycled into new goods. Windscreen glass can be processed for use in applications such as road construction, while recovered fuels and oils can be recycled for energy recovery. Even old tyres can be put to further use, including in cement production. We take vehicle recycling seriously and are committed to recovering and recycling as many materials from every vehicle as possible, helping to reduce waste and make the most of valuable resources.

“The driver was on time, helpful and efficient. My only quibble is that, if you'd told me that you were sendung such a big truck, I could have guided you round the traffic restrictions in the village, and thus saved the driver some time and anxiety. Other than that, a job well done. By the way, the (optional) questions below don't really seem appropriate to the service in question...”

“I'd definitely use these guys again. I was a little disappointed that my instructions for the collection of the car key and logbook weren't passed onto the driver collecting my car. Apart from that all went well.”

“Abbey provide an extremely fast and efficient service. My car was taken away within a couple of days and de-registered almost immediately. The price paid was fair and appeared in my bank account overnight. It was only slightly let down by a rather unfriendly and impatient driver. He was efficient, but not a pleasure to deal with.”
