“Feels like I was ripped off! Quoted one price on line with all your questions answered correctly. Driver turned up, checked the engine which was running fine, then started stating the head gasket had blown! Baffling me with waffle about oil going creamy!!! Couldn’t get hold of my mechanic to argue on my behalf as it had never been an issue. Was backed into a corner and had no choice but to let it go for a much reduced verbal quote over the phone - by this time there was no MOT, no Tax, no Insurance! Says on the website Your paid what is quoted - total rip off!!!”

Thank-you for your comments, we do investigate issues brought up on our reviews, this is company policy to ensure we offer a great service. When you completed your online quote you clicked "Yes" to "does the engine run without fault". The driver arrived and inspected your vehicle he noticed an issue with the Head Gasket, as stated in your Failed 19th Jan 2023 MOT "Exhaust emits excessive smoke or vapour likely to obscure the vision of other road users". You were then issued a new quote for a vehicle with faults, at no point were you under any obligation to accept the new price. We do of course pay what you are quoted, unless the vehicle has defects and are not disclosed at the time. Again thank-you for taking the time to write a review.
