“We found Goldcar staff to be polite and efficient, and their transfer vehicles were clean, tidy - not the case with some other car hire companies we've tried! Our rental car was clean, nearly new and served us well during our holiday in Greece. Our only slight criticism is that the address given for returning the vehicle was incorrect: we suspect that the office may recently have moved, and while we were lucky enough to have spotted the Goldcar signage on our way to the address we THOUGHT we were aiming for, it was quite stressful trying to find our way back to it. Apart from this issue, which Goldcar can of course resolve very quickly and simply, we were very happy with our car rental.”

“The booking via 121 was easy via internet.
I was offered a car form Thrifty who operate from the Sheraton Hotel Heathrow. Quite a distance from Terminal 3. They provide courtesy transport from the terminals at 45 minute intervals. Not frequent enough.
I was travelling alone with lots of luggage and to access the Thrifty office one had to negotiate a flight of steps and drag up the luggage or leave it outside out of sight. Neither option is suitable.
The staff at Thrifty could not have been more helpful.
I was delighted to receive an upgraded vehicle.
The vehicle return was easy, again first class staff.
Thrifty need to find another office location and offer more frequent courtesy transport.

“I noticed that when I booked the car the website told me the miles were limited to 100 per day. When I got the contract through it then said 90 miles per day. Thinking about how many miles I had to use per day (and the mileage being decreased after I had booked) made the experience a bit worse for me.”
