“I had been putting off this job for years because I couldn't find the correct sized hatch for my Edwardian property anywhere. I stubled across Jupiter blue and in response to an inquiry, they informed me of the made to measure service. I worked out that I'd have to remove the original wooden trim from around the hatch opening so that the new door would fix directly to the ceiling joists. The hatch arrived within the time promised. I hadn't realised that the frame is made of metal and has a flange all the way round - This is great, but it did mean that the YT videos I'd seen on how to install a new loft hatch by fixing two wooden battons to the ceiling to support the frame in position while you screw it in place - were now irrelevant. The fit was so good that (with a little help) I managed to jam it in place while I screwed it in - no support required. This is such a good product and an absolute game changer - It's no longer a schlep getting in the loft....”
