“I can’t give 5 stars because although this is a lovely cleanser, I do miss the old version of this. The biggest downfall for me is the packaging. Previously, it was in a pump bottle, whereas now it’s in a metal tube- this means when you try to use it, it oozes out and isn’t easy to use whilst you have a wet face/hands/closed eyes! I’m sure there are reasons it’s changed packaging but I’ve ended up decanting the tube into a pump bottle of my own or else I wouldn’t be able to use this any longer. Another shame is that it is no longer scented, previously it had a soothing lavender scent which I enjoyed but now there is no scent. All of these things don’t stop the product doing its job and it works well for my sensitive skin at a decent price too.”

“This is a repurchase, really like the cleanser nice and gentle and removes all my make up but really dislike the new packaging. Used to come in a pump bottle which was great, really can’t get on with this new packaging, too much product comes out, perhaps I made the piercing too big but also the lid is difficult to put on and off.”

“Slightly disappointed in the change of formula, especially the bergamot fragrance which I loved about the previous formula. It’s still effective at removing makeup and leaves the skin feeling clean. The new packaging is not fit for purpose. It doesn’t come with anything to pierce the tube. It’s extremely fiddly to open/close without getting product everywhere.”

We understand how disappointing it can be to experience a product that does not meet your expectations, especially after having a positive experience with the previous version. We strive to maintain the quality and effectiveness of our products. The base formulation is still the same, and the level of actives is unchanged. The new additional benefits of gluconolactone (a gentle skin brightening PHA) and a microbiota-friendly active to help re-balance the skin. Following customer feedback, we removed the fragrance to make it more suitable for sensitive skin. While dry skin is often associated with colder months, it's also quite normal to experience dry skin during summer. The sun is a major culprit for dry skin in summer. Excessive sun exposure can strip your skin of its natural oils, leading to dryness and irritation. Ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun can damage the skin's protective barrier. Spending time in air-conditioned environments can also significantly dry out your skin. The cool, dry air removes moisture from the skin's surface. “I find this cleaner really gentle on my dry skin. Using other brands I have often been left with angry red patches on my face after cleansing but hasn't experienced this at all with the hydracleanse gel. Unlike with the moisturisers, I really don't mind the cleanser's tube packaging and find it works well enough. I'll definitely be repurchasing!”

“Happy with the product as I've been using it for a while now but so unhappy with the new tubes they now come in. This is no longer user friendly when you suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis, the stress and pain of trying to grip to open and squeeze to use :-(”
