“I really love all of Facetheory products, they last a long time and it really leaves my face glowing. Especially this cleanser. I use once a week just to keep my oily skin at bay and a the vitamin C cleanser between which is a great combination for me. However only a 4 star due to the packaging! I really wish they would listen to consumers as the majority would say they hate the new packaging. I gave it the benefit of the doubt but the metal packaging makes it more difficult to get all the product out. It leaves residue on the lid that if not wiped regularly it goes green from the metal which can't be great for the skin. They have recently moved some products over to the plastic lids but considering my primary reason for using facetheory was because they didn't use any plastic makes it extremely annoying for me as a consumer. Please change this or make an alternative, even if the glass is more expensive I would imagine most consumers would rather buy the glass bottles and pay extra Thanks”

“I love the cleanser for keeping my skin clear and fresh and have used for years but honestly I hate the new packaging and have stopped buying it. It's hard to get the right amount out, you definitely don't get to finish all the product, and if it folds over you get little holes and the product leaks. I would buy and recommend instantly in different packaging but it's too impractical in the tube for me to use.”

“I really love this cleanser. It almost single handedly cleared my skin! I've been using it since 2019. I really appreciate the brand's commitment to simple effective formulas and having scented/unscented options. I also appreciate their eco-friendly initiatives without compromising the quality of the product - which is easier said than done in skincare. This new tube format though... it's really unpractical. Sometimes there's too much product coming out (because of built up pressure or a mishanlde) - which is a waste. It's also really hard to know if I've used it all up or if there's still some creamy treasure in there - which is also a waste... Because of the shape and material sometimes the tube falls over as it can't balance - which is just mildly annoying. With the glass jars I didn't have any of these issues - and it made for a cute plant starter pot! I understand aluminium is infinitely recycable and cheaper to produce & transport than glass but this is not an optimal design by any means. An aluminium tin would work better (some good labeling and embossing design can elevate the experience - which may align more with the brand). It may also be interesting to work on a refill system (maybe via official retailers?).”

“The product remains the same as previously, but I really miss the jars as well as the colours used for different things. Now everything is in these white tubes which can't be reused, and all look the same. It used to be easy to reuse the jars (or recycle them), but also have different products in the cupboard and identify immediately that the this was a specific wash (I usually buy two different ones). I'm also always worried that I won't get everything out of the tube and so it'll be ineligible for recycling. The jars could just be washed out.”

Many of our customers appreciated the jars for their ease of reuse and recyclability, as well as the ability to quickly differentiate products by colour. We transitioned to tube packaging as part of a recent update, but we recognise that this change may not be suitable for everyone. Your insights on recycling and maximising product usage are particularly valuable for us to hear. In the meantime, one tip that may help is storing tubes with labels visible to make them easier to identify, and rolling or flattening the tube as you go to help use every last bit. “The cleanser is lovely and light and cleanses well. Removes make up too. Only downfall I would say is the packaging. Would have preferred this in the old glass jars, less waste. I dont like the new metal tubes as they are quite difficult to squeeze the product out of as you are reaching the end. The packaging let's the product as a whole down for me.”
