“Been buying Lapsang (and other) Twinings teas for many years. Bought a box of Distinctively Smoky from Sainsburys to try. Horrible! Just tastes of chemicals. Can't find receipt so 39 bags in the bin. Can't believe Twinings master blenders would let this out of the door. Please try harder to bring us proper Lapsang or maybe get hold of some Russian Caravan instead.”
“Utterly insipid. Slightly smoky smell, like proper Lapsang, but doesn't taste of much at all - there are much better Lapsang Souchong bags on the market; won't be buying this again.”
“Sadly disappointing and regretful that Twinings have done this and ruined what was an excellent tea. I'll need to look elsewhere for my tea as this 'replacement' is rather unpleasant and I will not be buying it again. If anyone at Twinings reads this please bring back the real stuff.”
“I have drank Twinings Lapsang Souchong 3 or 4 times a day, every day, for more than 20 years, in my opinion it was the best out of all the other brands, and i would give that 5* . This ' replacement ' in no way compares , it is totally unacceptable and completely lacking , i hold Twinings teas in high regard but this is utter rubbish, i only wish they had put even less tea bags in the box, so i wouldn't have so many to throw away. Extremely disappointed 'former' customer.”
