“I'm very pleased with this Manganese-Lithium cell. My Pi5 lives in a custom 3D-printed case with a 1.3" OLED display and piezo sounder configured as a bedside alarm clock and light-duties desktop PC. It's reassuring to know that it will now always keep accurate time for alarm purposes even if the Internet goes down. The datasheet for the Panasonic ML2020 shows that a charging voltage of anywhere between 2.8 and 3.2V is perfectly acceptable, so don't be afraid to experiment if your backup requirements are a little less or more than that provided by the nominal 45mAh capacity at 3V.”
“There's not much written about this, still exploring what to do with it, plug it in and forget about it, is it plug and play or plug and play around with it, baffeled !”
“My other pi5 was switched off for a couple of months. When I powered it up the battery reading was 2.9v so I guess it kept the RTC going. After powering it I monitored the voltage till it was full at 3.2v”
