“I bought an 8GB Pi 5 as I wanted to test out HomeBridge and for this it is overkill. I may well end up using Home Assistant instead and for that it is best to have a reasonably powerful machine to run it on and as I didn't want to have to change the Pi I went with the top spec. I have installed it in an Argon Neo 5 case and it is working really well and running quietly.”
