“My first Pi, although I have some previous experience of homebrew.
Principally bought to run Homebridge as a headless server, so arguably overkill. Delivery was very swift and exactly as ordered. Had pre-imaged a card using Raspberry Pi Imager for Mac including WiFi setup, so up and running first time over ssh using the mac Terminal app. Only issue was that the Pi VNC server doesn't work with the default Mac VNC client. Solution was to run Tiger VNC Viewer and all good.
Very neat and smart in the Argon Neo 5 case and powered from an existing USB power supply connected to my UPS. Arguably overkill just to get a Ring doorbell to talk to Apple Homekit, but looking forward to exploring other apps and add-ons for the Pi. All impressively simple.”
“It's pretty good for the size and price of it. I'm using it with a PCIE 3 NVME and would say it's worth the additional cost. If you go this route then you can skip the SD card and just go for their NVME+HAT package, or use the SD card for additional storage or practicing on some of the alternative operating systems. You'll love it.”
