“Ideal as a cheap computer for a 3 and 5 year old during the lockdown, powerful enough to run educational websites, videos and the large selection of games available for Raspbian.”
“Once you have thermal issues mitigated properly, I feel like I've finally got an armv8 microcomputer that I am happy with. Always wanted to experiment with software on a different arch, this lets me even compile software at a reasonable speed.
It's really fast and nice, good stuff!”
“This is a major step up from the 3 series, in particular with Ethernet/WiFi and USB performance as it has a separate controller for these now. It does run a bit hot though without a heatsink - I bought one of the gorgeous anodised metal heatsinks on sale here too and it not only looks awesome but really keeps the temperature down. I wouldn't run one in a closed case as I think it would get too hot.”
“Only issue is postmen, how on earth did Palmer Row become Pains Way. It was a mistake by PI HUT to make it Palmer Way not Row and an even more confused postman. You would think the house number and post code would get there. I got a message from the guy in the sorting office saying it was a miracle he spotted it. Theory is house number and post code will get there. Not true. Humans involved.”
